There is just no way the modern fighter should be allowed to wear such padded gloves. It will do all kinds of long term damage, by allowing the fighters to take more hits to the head without being KO'd and the fight stopped. The harder it is to hit the skull, the less it will be getting pounded on. This will also restore some focus to body shots

Balderdash! Why, I once watched “Gentleman” Jim Corbett fight an Eskimo fellow bare-knuckled for a hundred and thirteen rounds! Of course, back then, if a fight lasted less than fifty rounds, we demanded our nickel back!
