So I got a call from the AFL today.. Apparently I won a silver AFL membership (I entered in the competition earlier in the year, and the email congratulating me went strait into the spam box), worth ~$700. It lets me in to 40 MCG/Etihad games, as well as giving me the equivelent of 'Essential Power' - ie general admission tickets to all of the Port Adelaide AO games. I already have a membership with a reserved seat, and most of the people I go to the footy with have memberships themselves.

Any ideas on what I can do with the ticket? Are there charities (or something similar) that would want to use my entry most weeks? Unfortunately I can't actually transfer the Silver AFL membership (according to both the PA membership person, and the AFL lady I spoke to), so whoever I would take would have to meet me at the ground.

I just finished the original series of 24. Jack Bauer was such a damn badass by the end of it. What a geniusly over the top, hilarious action show.

Drinking game I came up with:

- Shot whenever Jack says "I give you my word."
- Shot whenever Jack chokes someone out.
- Shot whenever Jack goes from measured and calm to complete psycho in an interrogation.
- 2 shots when Jack's love interest is killed / headraped.
- Shot whenever it turns out Jack is 3 steps ahead of anyone else in a ridiculously convoluted plan.

And for the later series:

- Shot whenever you spot someone from Homeland.

Goddamn I love that show. Now for the movie and the new series.

Which is 12 episodes.

But still called 24.

Amazing.
