Was watching The Jeselnick Offensive the other night. In his monologue he said Carrie Fisher had been on a cruise ship and had a bipolar episode. She had released a comment saying she was very sad about it. She had also released a statement saying she was very happy about it.
It was a slow burn joke, took me a few seconds. I'm still amused with it 24 hours later.

Apparently Tony Abbott's budget views me favorably

What have I done wrong in my life to deserve such an endorsement?

When I look at the budget it barely affects me (ie: I have a hecs debt and that's about it, I don't use any form of welfare), but the cuts to the lower class are pretty ridiculous (and are what I inherently disagree with), as well as implementing a paid parental leave scheme that is pretty much the epitome of middle class welfare. I couldn't give two shits about what they cut for the middle or upper class (and since I'm part of that I'm more than happy to take my fair share), but increasing the defence budget (we're sucking the US's dick enough really), big businesses going about unaffected and the mining sector going about its business (we should be closely adhering to Norway's http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/rearvision/making-money-from-mining-norway/3044854 model in regards to our resources) all seem to go against the general idea of ensuring increased revenue and therefore balancing the budget (which as a general principle I disagree with but each to their own).

I'm barely a left wing pinko, I just find it irritating that I have to vote more and more to the left with each year in order to find a party that goes with my general principle of 'Stay the **** out of people's personal lives and stop letting people use religion as a justification for shit decisions for non-religious people's bodies/decisions'.
