Oh I am right up on Louie, don't worry. :) Current season is amazing. Less funny, but it doesn't matter.

Did we just become best friends?

I'm pacing myself with this season in case he goes on hiatus again, just watched the fat girl rant episode. Incredible! So ballsy of Louis to decide he's got something to say and he'll spend a whole episode saying it if he wants. Can't wait for his next special.

Students asked for a physical and logical diagram example of cloud infrastructure. The lecturer gave us this:

Not sure if race for the flag in squiggly lines.

Magnolia
Pulp Fiction
Fargo
American Beauty
The Shawshank Redemption

On another topic, I hate toilets that aren't my own at home. I just went into the work one and there was a piece of corn floating in it. One can only imagine the journey that poor little thing had just completed.

Quoted because god damn it

No, rivals! ;)

I saw him live at the Sydney Opera House. Amazing. :P

On the watchlist - keen on some advice as to whether (based on the above) you think I'll enjoy:
2001 Space Odyssey
Labyrinth
Inland Empire
Casablanca
To Kill a Mockingbird
Amadeus
Citizen Kane
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Keen on any recommendations on anything pre-1990s, obscure or foreign language, let me know and I might even briefly review it on here if anyone's interested.
I think Inland Empire is a great movie, but Lynch can be an acquired taste and this one is right out there. If you haven't seen it yet I'd recommend Mulholland Drive first (greatest movie of all time IMHO) then Lost Highway then Inland Empire. These films are all variations on a theme, I just haven't worked out exactly what it is. I suspect it defies comprehension but that doesn't stop me trying.

Top 5:

1. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
2. The Breakfast Club
3. Rocky Horror Picture Show
4. Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
5. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

After that you've got The Big Lebowski, Total Recall, Highlander, Speed, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween II, argh, too many.

......

Platoon
True Romance
Usual Suspects
Waynes World
Spinal Tap
Platoon and Full Metal Jacket probably two of the best war, or ant-war, movies ever made.

I really like The Usual Suspects but it is very much like The Sixth Sense in that once you know how it ends you can't really watch it again.

Primal Fear is another on in a similar vein

Top 5, no particular order:

1. Casablanca
2. Top Gun
3. Gone With the Wind
4. Fight Club
5. The Running Man
