We've had Fox Footy's The Recruit, a reality show intended to unearth hidden gems and give them a shot at playing in the AFL.

Given the standard of AFL commentary (diabolical), why wouldn't Fox Footy, or perhaps a commercial network, consider running a similar programme to find the next best AFL commentator? Is there a Clinton Grybas [RIP :( ] out there somewhere? The next Gerard Whately?

The show could run for ~12 weeks, or a shorter timeframe and involve the contestants guest calling games, doing footy trivia, hosting footy news on FoxFooty etc. The winner could get a guaranteed contract and the other contestants might still get a look in.

For not much expense, we might potentially add much needed quality to the commentary ranks. Thoughts?

The only flaw in your suggestion is that the media doesn't actually know how diabolical the standard of AFL commentary is.

Or is an adult mammal.

I think it's fair to say that the recent evolution of the human mammal has seen a tendency toward less body hair.

On a purely technical view, you could say that the increase in female power in relationships, coupled with the ease of which pornographic material can be accessed, has seen a rise in the necessity for...ahem...extra curricular activities in the bedroom. To which having an excess of pubic hair is counter intuitive...

the aforementioned program then went on to say that a consequence of said pube removal becoming the standard is that there has been a frightening increase in the number of women who think their vaginas look wrong and are opting for plastic surgery to remedy the situation - labiaplasty, I believe was the term used. An expert believed that young women just aren't seeing enough other young women's vaginas and so have only got pornography as their reference point.
Which leads to the quandary of how can we help to create more opportunities for young women to look at each other's vaginas?

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

EDIT: so wait, the concern is that women might be getting unrealistic genital aesthetic standards from pornography? Point of order, your honour!

The token female will create controversy no matter how good she may be, you know.

Luckily I have a gigantic wang or pr0n as a reference point could have put me in a similar situation. On the other hand, the amount of ads for penis enlargement means it must be pretty easy to 'remedy' any problem.

I tend to think that if such things worked, advertising would not be required.

It's not evolution if you shave it.

It's not evolution if you shave it.

Of course it is. It's just social/technological evolution as opposed to the biological kind.

Also, waxing is better.

Spending money on wax is not an evolutionary trait.

Nice warm hand muff on the other hand...:)
