Where does the term" I get really a get these days brother" come from anyway?

What I have to be fair to Tony, why? When Tony's raison d'être is fairness then I'll consider fairness in relation to him. Next you'll be bringing up the Howard, we should all be polite to each other while we f u up the arse line.
Tony certainly gave the Japanese a lot to think about when he welcomed the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to our parliament and said Japanese military personnel demonstrated “courage” and “patriotism of a very high order” during World War II. Neglecting the complete lack of common decency and fairness in regards to their treatment of our of POWs.

It was Bob Brown who asked everyone to be polite and nice to each other.

I don't know if he f'd u up the arse but he didn't have his way with me.

Gee, first time on this thread... last time too.

All off season I've been alternating between watching and unwatching the General AFL talk thread.

This thread is infinitely better because it doesn't just revert to the same old shit everyday - it takes at least a week before coming back around to angry person music.

What do you really want him to do?
Smack Putin in the mouth or something.

OH GOD YES.

And then for Putin to go KGB on his sorry arse.

I love people who have no understanding of realpolitik or international diplomacy actually works feel that they can comment about it. Abbott's comments toward Russia were made on the behalf of every country that was affected, including the US, which doesn't like the saber rattling Putin is doing to annex a portion of the sovereign state of Ukraine so they can have their deep water port. Australia had to do it because we aren't beholden to the Russian gas and oil supplies which are necessary during a harsh European winter, and because we are small enough for it to be brushed off as not a real threat, but economically and strategically viable enough with our uranium and other natural reserves to be listened to.

So Janus, what does Australia get out of it?

Mrs Apatow. God tier MILF.

She's gotten insanely hotter as she's gotten older as well. Compare her in her mid 20s in Cable Guy or George of the Jungle or Big Daddy to her recent stuff.

There is some sort of arcane voodoo magic going on. She's done a reverse Kirsten Dunst.

I was kind of in love with her in Cable Guy but I still agree.

Speaking of Dunst's inexplicable decline from say, Bring It On to five minutes later in Spider-Man - let alone today - I recently saw her in the Bridesmaids rip-off, Bachelorette.

She's still not particularly flash, but there's a certain scene where she has congress on a sink that not unlike those stylish Alfa ads, made me want to take her for a spin.

Bring it on...made more watchable by Faith from Buffy in a cheerleading costume. Growl.

"The 'I get really a get these days brother' thread is "short for what you long for" - I don't get it?"

agree with you on ukraine - dude wants a land link to Crimea if he can get away with it.

not sure what natural resources Russia depends on from Australia, but it's not gas or uranium. big wool customer.

well we are the US' deputy sheriff in APAC. not sure our influence reaches to Moscow. if we were to be "the mouthpiece" surely the embarrassing gaffe of "shirtfront" wouldn't have happened. malaysia would have been a far better choice as the mouthpiece of criticism. it was their national carrier. they lost more citizens than we did. they are not fawningly aligned with the US. they buy lots of military hardware from the Russians. they're a world player in the oil markets. a few well aimed words from malaysia falling just short of stirring up long-simmering Islamist resentment towards russia would have gone much further towards "giving Putin something to think about" than Abbot's ... bewildering gesture.
