That 2004 gf replay blew my mind. Its brought back things we already knew but have forgotten. Like how to win. You might not believe me but the difference between our current side and a gf winning side is just two players. Infact to make any winning side just add 2 players of the quality of Peter Burgoyne and a Byron Pickett. Byron Pickett had like 11 runs with the ball where he bounced the ball at least once and one time he had 4 bounces in a run. That stuff cuts any side to pieces. Peter could take a step clear a pack and deliver the ball laces out right on the chest of someone inbetween 3 defenders. Shaun is the same and will do the same job for the hawks today. But we dont have any guys like that anymore and thats what we need. 2 super skilled guys like that bring all the players into the game and gives them confidence. It lifts the standard of everyone because all of a sudden there has been a little bit more time and space created by the Peter/Byron. Pearce isnt quite of that quality. Find the 2 and the team will come.

Guys, I might be wrong but the earth is a self contained system, pretty much everything gets recycled over time. Nothing new is really added unless it comes from space like GB478 said.

We've already seen the post saying meteorites, space dust etc are inputs. Then heat energy is radiated out as we are warmer than space, but this is slowed by our atmosphere. Meanwhile light from the sun is turned from energy into mass by plants. So it's certainly not self-contained.
Then come the quirky considerations i.e. we shoot rockets, satellites etc off which aren't enormous amounts of mass to lose but in a year would be significantly more than stuff coming in from space. But we bring moon rocks back, or used to.
In summary, and after running the numbers through the Commodore 64, we are 15 G lighter than 10,000 years ago. That 15G is due to the flag Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin left on the moon.

Ooh, I have a fun story that I forgot to tell you guys.

Went to a birthday lunch for my girlfriend with her family on Sunday. There were 11 of them there, all Crows supporters. To a man, every one of them blamed the umpires and solely the umpires for their loss.......

All week it has been the gift that keeps on giving. I'm just about to go down to our local fruit and veg shop and bait the Cows supporting owners about it.
