PINK FLOYD LIVE SHOW ON TV TONIGHT!!!

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, (1972) Documentary
Live if it was still 1972. And I lived in Perth to watch it on Community TV Channel 44. And even so if it is 1972 I'm in high school and my parents won't let me stay up late on a school night.

If it is 1972 well then I'm still in my old man's ball bag.

Anyone here seen American Sniper? Seems to be creating polarising sentiment and has been attributed to a rise in anti-Muslim sentiment. It would no doubt attract the gonzo patriots.

I've read the book so know what to expect at face value from the film, the book was rife with gung-ho patriotism. But despite that and its drab straightforward and just a bit self-adulating while trying to be self-deprecating narrative it did provide some insights into the thinking of members of American military elite units and the tension between home and military life.

Like glitch has posted, i thought it was ok. I've avoided all/any reviews on the film and knew nothing about the story or content. The only thing i knew was it was Eastwood directed so i knew there would be stretches in the film ithat i'd get fidgety with but these bits would eventually add to the story. Well so i hoped.

I tried not to analyse the film or story but watch it purely as a story about an American patriot doing 'his duty' during wartime. I enjoyed it. I dont know why but if i didnt know it was based on a true story i dont think id have liked it.

Even more strangely, i preferred it to Jolie's effort altho i liked her film as well.

Surprise surprise, some bearded hipster dick wad softie won triple j's hottest 100, would've preferred miss swift to be honest.

If you only just worked out that triple J is at the top of the hipster food pyramid, Well then i have some bad news for you.

Stopped listening to the hottest 100 a few years ago, shame, they were great days of drinking, music, drinking, cricket, drinking, beer and more drinking. These days we just bring our own music and drink drink drink the day away.....

I have nothing against Chet Faker per se, but the whole list seemed to be full of hip hop and dance and blerrrg...

Thats all Triple J is these days.
1) Melancholic solo raspy voiced female artist
2) Melancholic solo well bearded male artist
3) Aussie Electronica
4) Aussie hip-hop

Rinse and repeat.

i will never understand why people listen to radio in the age of usbs, bluetooth and mp3s. cut out the advertising, the songs you dont like and the insanely idiotic presenters who all think they are the funniest people in history and listen to exactly what you want to listen to.

radio, pfft.

I preferred Unknown

I remember when singing "Tonight we're going to party like it's 1999" was so full of weird futuristic promise. Now it's nostalgia.
Wasn't it New Year's Eve 1999, when a baby faced Brendan Fevola kicked 11 goals at the MCG? If only the football world knew then what it knows now......

Triple J hipster flogs over my facebook page all day. I should comment t-swizzle songs all over their statuses

Is the tennis finished yet?
More like, is the World Cup cricket finished yet? As soon as it is, we can get on with the footy.

Man, I used to hate those "Back 2 School Sale" ads on TV when I was a kid.
It was like being constantly reminded you only had a few days left to live.
(That might be a little over dramatic, but I stand by it.)
