Possible Outcome 1.
Didj player says, "No, women are not allowed to play the didjeridoo". Woman complains to her manager, department head, Public Service Commissioner that equal opportunity has not been allowed, takes stress leave, claims compo. Not satisfied with Comcare offer to pay for counselling and further cross cultural awareness training, the case is now before the Australian Human Rights Commission. The ABC's Q&A programme shows an empty chair with an Andrew Bolt name tag in front of it.
Possible Outcome 2.
Against his cultural beliefs the didj player reluctantly allows the woman to play the didjeridoo. Word gets around the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cross Cultural Awareness Training industry that this fella is nothin but a bloody coconut. Work dries up; company goes out of business without acquittal of Federal Government advance.
Possible Outcome 3.
The didj player breathes a sigh of relief that it wasn't a man who asked first, but wise to the cultural/ethical/legal dilemma of refusing a woman her 'equal rights', smiles and says, "Lady, I don't let nobody touch my didj - not even my missus!"
