This is bullshit. I have a digital membership, which means I can watch games on a tablet via Telstra Live Pass. Because I had a current Live Pass from a year ago, which has just expired, I have to wait a month before I can activate the one from my membership...meaning I can't watch live games for at least a couple of weeks :(

...why?

Because they have a monthly system to automatically renew from my credit card(which I did not know about) after the year had passed. I had to cancel to use the digital one from the club, but couldn't find an option to use the voucher code the club gave me, found a FAQ that advised me that I have to wait until my old subsciption monthly they were going to slug me had expired, which is the 8th of May. I suppose I should have investigated this in January, but I didn't suspect this bullshit

Anyone of you using netflix?

Is it worth it over foxtel?

I was thinking of going netflix and the 129 afl tv app

Depends on your viewing habits.

If it's just watching TV shows and Movies then Netflix wins hands down even though the catalogue is currently limited. That will change though, eventually Netflix will boast a library similar to the U.S. version. Netflix is like a blockbuster dvd shop; there are only a few shows (i.e. The Netflix produced ones) are available on original air date. On demand TV is awesome sauce. AFL via the live app negates the need to get Foxtel to watch AFL.

If you want to watch a whole heap of Euro sports, specialty channels such as Rai or Greek TV and/or certain TV shows as soon as they're aired, then Foxtel is probably still the only way to go for the moment.

Yes and HELL YES.

Question for ball fans

I don't watch it so Idk, is 'Steph Curry' said as 'Steff' or 'Steve'?
Steff, **** knows how.

Just heard on ABC News 24 that club ambassador Hugh Sheridan is looking for his brother Zach who is missing on Mount Everest as there was an avalanche there last night / morning our time triggered by the earthquake in Nepal.

Zach posted on Bigfooty as BradBert and on ThePowerFromPort as ZPower. I sincerely hope all is well and there are just communication problems and not anything worse than that.

Just signed up for Netflix, mainly to watch TV series rather than movies. Currently working my way through The Thick of It. Will move on to American Horror Story or Mad Men next.

I also have Foxtel for the AFL but also like to watch cycling, cricket, EPL, and darts so its worth it to me.

Hope he pops up safe and sound, worrying for anyone in that situation.

Allows you to watch on anything....eg smart tvs...

No mobile device.
Is it an App downloaded to the TV? Is downloading games cost prohibitive if data capped or is it free downloads if with Telstra?
I can't seem to find any information about it??
Sorry for the questions.

No its no problem at all...

This is what i believe it is with what i have researched so far...

You can download the afl app and pay 89.95 for the year....this only applies to mobile devices....though you can mirror or stream the images from your mobile devices to the big screen the quality is rubbish

Or you can get the afl tv app for 129 which is especially made for smart tvs ....so better quality...

The difference being at best with foxtel you will be paying 50 a month plus box rental which is 10 to 25 a month depending.
