Underwhelmed by the graphics quality. Let's hope they haven't done a shit 'let's just build this for the lowest spec (Xbox One) and not harness things like HairWorks etc on the PC'. Compared to Witcher 3 this looks like a step backward.

I still prefer to go back and play Fallout 3 over some of the more modern games. Even with all the bugs.

As long as it's got engaging balanced gameplay, the environments are well built in terms of vibe and the like, which they already appear to be, and the writing is enjoyable, I could not care less if it looks like a game from 2009.

One limit the old tech could have is the amount of NPCs in a space at once, so it could underwhelm ala The Strip.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still buy it and enjoy the shit out of it, but if they are expecting people to be like "OMG!!!!!1111!!!" just because it's a Fallout game (which since there is no real teasing of the story or new additions to the game engine, it looks like they are) then colour me unimpressed. It's meant to be Fallout 4, not Fallout: New New Vegas. Which is what it looks like - just a cleaned up version of the older engine.

Of course, none of you have actually played Witcher 3 so you probably don't understand why I'm so meh about this.

I've been playing W3 in my study breaks. Has been immense so far! Going to give it a break for 2 weeks though so I can pass lol. But best game I've played in a while for sure

I don't think there is much point in talking about Fallout 4's graphics until we see some proper gameplay.
The stuff in the trailer probably isn't fully representative of the final product.

I agree that story and gameplay trump graphics.
I still go back and play through the original Deus Ex every couple of years, and that game was fairly ugly when it came out, let alone now, but I've yet to play a game better than it.

This but 1000 times more, given the best 2 games in the series came out in the 90s.

How good is it? I'm playing on Death March and even when I get stuck on a difficult part at no time do I wanna change difficulty because it's always juuuust out of reach.
