I used to able to get required workload completed in about 30 - 50% of working hours and achieve 'exceeding expectations' performance ratings because I had direct reports I could delegate to, and knew the place and people inside out, allowing me to easily spend absurd amounts of time on various BF boards, and other forums. Now after 2 restructures in 2 years I'm too busy and have 2 incapable direct reports (which will change in time), so I only drop by here for short bursts and do a little shopping sometimes. The bonuses are worth it in the end.
