Brian Dennehy in a non tele-movie role probably the zenith of his mediocre career

He wa damn good in it. Loved the way he treated the drifter at the start.

Two moments of that movie I loved, when he dived off the mountain and when he cried at the end.

Mickey Rourke knocked back the role of Axel Foley before Stallone. Rourke also knocked back the Bruce Willis role of Butch in Pulp Fiction. Mickey doesn't always make good decisions.

Looks like a monster now, plastic surgery gone too far.

I really liked it. It's no Rocky. I liked Rocky too, but The Wrestler is far grittier and the lead character has virtually no redeeming features.
