I knew there was gamesmanship in Tennis (eg bouncing the ball 43 times before serving, baiting the umpire when things aren't going your way, etc), but I've never heard the players openly sledging one another during a match before.

Is there a personality disorder (other than just being an arseh*le) whereby you want/need people to hate you? If so, maybe Kyrgios is suffering from that and he's the victim in all of this and deserving of our sympathy (and not just an arseh*le).

I also have flat feet, no arch at all. Had to wear special shoes when I was little with steel plates to try to correct it, but now it is accepted in society like being left-handed and I am no longer viewed as a witch. Never could run on my toes, only my heels

True, but even at his roughest, he was only giving away silly frees. You never really got the impression he was capable of hurting someone. I know that's a bad thing, but you need it. You need a guy that keeps his opponent on edge. Most of the hawks team do this well in the modern game.

The guy lives on my street. Nice enough bloke, but hates Port with a passion. Part of the North Grog Squad or what ever they call themselves.

I have a suspicion he came and gave me a bag of dog food his dog wouldn't eat [he's seen me walking mine] just so he could tell me how much he hates the PAFC garden gnome my sister gave me as a joke present for christmas. The gnome takes pride of place at the front of the yard and he gets a perfect view of it every time he drives down the street [we live in a culdesac with our place right at the top of the street]. Makes me smile just thinking about it. I think his exact words were "everytime I see that gnome I want to kick the hell out of it".
