Of all the absolutely shitty "classic" movie re-makes over the last 10 or more years, i'd really be thrilled if they did a re-make of Jaws.

I'll give you a story that should be filmed again

Outward Bound filmed in 1930 & remade as Between Two Worlds in 1944.

It's a story of passengers waiting to be able to board a vessel sailing to America from Britain during the war, WW1 for the 1930 film & WW2 for the 1944 film. But something happens, then they are on board, sailing, by themselves with only a steward.

I don't get what people see in Will Ferrell. I can see why its slightly funny, but I can't see why its outrageously funny.

I think he can be funny, he is in horrible films though.

'Between Two Worlds' was pretty good but subtle and understated (although my IMDb link gives away the twist). If made again they'd probably do to it what 'Titanic' did to 'Night to remember'.
Have you seen 'Sole survivor' (1970)? In this case the IMDb blabbering doesn't matter too much because you know the main premise 15 min in, the cleverness is what lies from knowing what happened between the opening scenes and WW2.
