Anyone else cutting weight for beach season? I'm down to 76 kegs (I'm 5'3" 1/4) without even trying I'm yet to ascertain whether this is through coinkydieting or AIDS
Yep. Finished winter at 80kg (6'1), switched to high fat, low carb Sep 1st. Stage 2 starts today of switching over to intermittent fasting as well (eat 'breakfast at noon). Should be around 75-76kg by summer. Beach body time - if you ignore half bald and what's left is half gray o_O

Doing some research on the 82 granny, it seems the streaker Miss D'Amico was 17 at the time so pretty much all replays would be a big no-no nowadays.
The au natural look back then. Really need an 80's retro round complete with strippers. And not fat blokes. At what point did those idiots think all the cheers for the strippers had nothing to do with them being female and the crowd is going to want to see The Biggest Loser entrants? Ruined it for everyone

Definitely not something you want to see in HD nowadays. :P

That's interesting. My recollection is that she had been working as a stripper at the Crazy Horse in Adelaide prior to the GF incident. Would have thought they would suffer some consequences for employing someone underage.

What about Sydney? That's where I'd guess the rugby league world cup organising committee would be located

Sydney's pretty mild, generally. Get the odd hot spell. But unless you're way out west it's not much bother. Especially if you live near the Harbour and get that nice, cool breeze. Though when it rains, it can really bucket down!

South Australia is not really much of a rugby league state, is it? Does anyone here pay any attention to the NRL? I read that Adelaide used to have a NRL team but it only lasted 3 or so years

Nah, no-one really gives a rats about league here. But yeah, I love it! Canberra Raiders haven't given me much love lately. And Origin, well, that's something else altogether. Crazy shit.

Rams were were the bastard child of Super League, a civil war which tore the game apart for a few years. Played in the '97 (Super League) and '98 (reformed NRL) seasons. But there were just a pawn in the game and an easy cull when it came to reducing teams for 1999.

Actually, I'm way more interested in the NRL Grand Final this weekend. Hoping like hell JT's Cowboys win their first premiership. And stop the goddamn Broncos winning another...

I watch mostly the English Super League, as I became interested in the game whilst in England and watched a St Helens game at their stadium, but I'm gradually starting to watch a bit more of NRL and will definitely want to watch the Grand Final. I downloaded both Preliminary Finals and have been watching them in bits during this week. I guess I try to watch way too many sports - more than would be healthy, probably :D I do enjoy how fast the game is in the NRL and found funny seeing a long lost cousin in the Sydney Rooster team... Aidan Guerra! We share the same last name.

Well, I think Sydney and Gold Coast would be the likely destinations if I ever do go to work in Australia, which is a long shot at the moment but would make the missus much happier than having to endure England's dull weather! haha

YOU HAVE TO SUPPORT THE RABBITOHS!

Or I'll hunt you down and put Crows memorabilia in your bedroom.
St. Helen's makes sense if you are a Liverpool fan anyway.

Got to say my first ever contact with the Rabbitohs wasn't very pleasing, as they utterly destroyed the Saints earlier this year in the World Club challenge... :D my sympathies lie with the Penrith Panthers at the moment :$

Yeah I did Atkins (high fat, ultra low carb) about 8 or 9 years ago. Lost about 10 or 12 kilos in about 8 weeks with stuff all exercise.
Would never do it again though.

I know LCHF and intermittent fasting gets the job done for me. Couldn't do it all year as carbs are ****ing tasty, but spring / summer I take the trade off.

Heaps of meat what could go wrong

However If I notice my belt getting tighter I do cut out bread for a week or two and wallah I'm back to normal lol.

A Texas county has sued Volkswagen Group in state court, accusing the German carmaker of violating state environmental laws by installing software on some of its diesel vehicles to circumvent emissions tests.

The lawsuit filed by Harris County, which includes Houston, seeks up to $25,000 per violation per day.

$25,000 per violation per day. The County claims VW sold more than 6000 cars that cheated emissions tests within their borders between 2009 and 2015. There's about 2190 days in 6 years but lets use an arbitrary median of 1000 days to make the maths easier. Works out to a cool $150,000,000,000.

Good luck with that.

Considering that VW would have some of the best lawyers in Europe.

If they get their ask then VW will effectively pay half their state debt (currently at $300 billion). Environmental concern, ulterior motive, greed or all of the above??

Same, but i can't think of a more depressing place, grey and drizzle. :p
Ahh but through the fog and drizzle you can trudge the moors in search of Myra Hindleys ghost
