Had friends over tonight, as the night went on my mate passed out. The ladies were sitting out back talking shit as usual, kids running a muck inside. I retreated to my "office" to rip some drunken tunes and pulled off a pretty good Into The Void. Then later I see this.
Bro

Carn... It's Jessica.

PS.

At not getting her gear off.

Remember that time she refused to do an almost nude scene, so they had to use CGI to do her body not quite naked?

I mean, how stuffed is that? It's like me saying, no, I will not wear speedos, I will wear boardies then you can CGI my body with speedos. Just bizzare.

I got over my Jessica Alba phase pretty quickly.

Yes, I see the irony that I'm still in the throes of a Portman crush, even though she doesn't exactly show us the goods either. She was in Star Wars, that's my excuse.

Jessica has no nudity clauses written into her movie contracts. Scarlett Johansson did to but got her kit off in a recent movie so there is hope.

I for one am glad I started to read this thread brilliant discussion and edgie BMW is correct mace would of turned to the dark side had he killed the emperor the war had already started to turn him too the dark side. Kotar 1 and 2 are my all time fav games

Did you see the subplot about the war as well or just me?

What subplot is that?

Just little bits and pieces, its very subtle, hinting at the player character becoming at home during the war and finding herself in battle, then becoming a lost warrior when there was no more war to fight.

I don't know if it was intentional or not, it think it was meant to say that you were becoming immersed in the violence and the fighting and the dark side. At the end you have to return to the scene of the crime made it feel very epic at the end. Almost forgot it was about Star Wars and the force.

Star Wars I just don't get the love for these films even the originals
It's hard to convey what the impact of the first film was like back in the day. No internet discussions, no real previews, no spoilers in the late 70s. The special effects were a whole level of capability higher than anything I can recall then. Cinemas were full size and many had powerful sound systems and that was the experience of most of us who saw it then. I saw it in a cinema at Colonnades and the opening scenes were mind-blowing; the letters telling us of the film's premise flowing across the screens. Then a spaceship appeared firing desperately behind it, following which the cinema began to actually rumble and the monstrous pursuing star destroyer appeared*. It was a stunning film in every way, great baddies, great goodies. Extremely original while paradoxically mixing and matching plot elements used in film/theatre since forever.
The two follow ups were joyously received and it didn't hurt that the third (Whoops! The second film, thanks Edgie) had the superb battle on the ice planet of Hoth. It's nice when you've paid your money to see the film-makers are trying.
I don't think it's possible for someone today to see the first 3 and appreciate them as we did. And sadly those made since haven't helped.

* Edit - I know you pretty well all know how the first film began, the moving letters alone have been parodied thousands of times. But I got a bit lost trying to evoke how that looked/sounded back when you'd go to the pictures and not know what was going to unfold.

Speaking of KOTOR2 - they released a patch for it recently didn't they? Some 1.2 GB or something which redoes the textures in HD and adds all the story that Obsidian had done but because of time constraints could never add to the game before release.

If you've never played it, or actually want to play how it was intended, get on it.

The battle on Hoth was the second.

Everything else is spot on. It also explains why many regular people, not Sci-fi inclined, fell hard for Star Wars, but as compassion, Star Trek and others never reached that level of mainstream success. It was a cultural phenomena. I know a lot of older blokes who are the least nerdy types you could meet, but they love Star Wars and will wait in line for hours at the cinema and see it half a dozen times.

I was more of a horror movie kid perhaps that's why the Star Wars and Star Trek shit never clicked with me.

Can I get this on console?

A little part of me would've liked to have lived through the video game up and downs of the 80s to the 00s, from Atari to market crash to Nintendo and Sega and then Sony, with a heap of other players, the gaming industry seemed so rich, diverse, and was really pushing things forward for the right reasons, breaking new ground.

Now it is just boring mainstream franchises with the occasional classic title, and 2D indie games on Steam that play like a 20 year old SNES title.

I got my first console, the Colecovision around 30 years ago and nearly 20 years ago the n64/Goldeneye/ Mariokart was released!

They were the days.

Yeah I thought that was part of the revan main story line his fall from grace so to say
