Also, in an ironic twist of small town-ness, the father is also the same guy from the funeral home, whose tripod I'm using after it was "lost" by a mates dad who works there and he was able to help me out by "finding" me a tripod when I started this schtick, when I filmed his wedding earlier this year.

Yeah, the actors had a contract to keep out of the public to make it look like real footage, i guess the Italians are a little gullible.

Had something to do at the shopping centre at West Lakes the other day so thought I'd drop some forms off at the Medicare office there. However it turns out that it had closed and is now incorporated with Centrelink at Port Adelaide. No problem I thought, I'll pop down there. Well that was an eye opener. I may have had an unfortunate sample of humanity in the queue in front of me, I may not have. But medals are due to the staff there.

I had to go in there for an appointment after I was redundant from a long term job about 12 years ago. Some guy bumped me in the queue as he was walking out angry. He had a go and staff had to move him on ... can imagine it 100x worse these days

Signed on for YA in 1999. This one guy 'jobseeking' on the phones provided smelled like he'd been fished out of a fat lasses ladybits on a 40-degree day.

To make matters worse he was wearing one of those tanktops with the armholes that are as big as the rim of a toiletbowl.

Gee whiz, I thought.
