Depending on the sport, the boys state team probably would get a bigger development budget tooOnly problem is, they aren't.
A schoolboys state team would beat the national women's team in cricket, soccer, golf, basketball, you name it.
A more realistic ambitionDarts?
Maybe at a local pub level. But at a professional international level?I'm sure women are just as capable of putting on a lot of weight, having stupid haircuts and wearing ill fitting polo shirts as men.

There is no reason women couldn't play men's cricket. At all.
Tennis is the same, and golf. Anything non contact really.
If they're good enough they're good enough.
I agree...There is no reason women couldn't play men's cricket. At all.

I agree...
If they can crunch the golf ball of the mens tee or face up to mitchell johnson bouncer...more power to them...
I rekon serena williams at her peak would give the men a good run...over 5 sets...
My comment at her peak was referring to the bestSerena would crush anyone outside the top probably 30 of mens tennis, such an unknown quanitity. It's a shame we haven't seen her go up against some men.
You blokes are smoking some good herb, Serena wouldn't beat the worlds 457th ranked male
Away from her serving well she'd be wiped in all other areas just wouldn't have the court coverage, her powerful ground shots against women wouldn't bother male players at all.I think reality lies somewhere in between. Serena's biggest obstacle is making her serve competitive, as she tops out at 200 km/h, and returning the faster men's serves. Most of the top men would be comfortable serving and returning 230 km/h plus thunderbolts all day long.
So I think it would be a battle for her against the best, but anyone outside the top 100 probably has enough chinks in their armour for her to exploit and make up the difference.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battl...998:_Karsten_Braasch_vs._the_Williams_sistersAnother event dubbed a "Battle of the Sexes" took place during the 1998 Australian Open[33] between Karsten Braasch and the Williams sisters. Venus and Serena Williams, aged 17 and 16 respectively, had claimed that they could beat any male player ranked Top 20, so Braasch, then ranked 203rd, challenged them both. Braasch was described by one journalist as "a man whose training regime centered around a pack of cigarettes and more than a couple bottles of ice cold lager."[34] The matches took place on court number 12 in Melbourne Park,[35] after Braasch had finished a round of golf and two beers. He first took on Serena and after leading 5–0, beat her 6–1. Venus then walked on court and again Braasch was victorious, this time winning 6–2.[36] Braasch said afterwards, "500 and above, no chance." He added that he had played like someone ranked 600th in order to keep the game "fun."[37] Braasch said the big difference was that men can chase down shots much easier, and that men put spin on the ball that the women can't handle. The Williams sisters adjusted their claim to beating men outside the top 350.
they were 16.....lol...
Maybe we should get a few girls playing for the Redbacks.....I'm on the other side, I reckon there is no reason why women can't compete in men's cricket. It would mainly just take some adjustment to men's bowling. These chicks are pretty tough.
Good effort by the Argies to make it to the semis of the world cup. If we beat the Scots which is likely, no northern hemisphere teams make the final 4 in a World Cup held in the the northern hemisphere.
