Just got a very long winded email from the outer army for some reason, about nominations at their upcoming AGM.

The outer army is still a thing in 2015? I'm not even mad, I'm impressed.

I'm sure, in a box in a shed, somewhere, I have a pair of 1978 vintage ripples. Later models I've seen aren't quite the same. I was somewhat of an outcast though as my shoes had 14 ripples on the sole. All my mates had 13.
I have to go through that shed, maybe 6 months from now cos it's a sauna in there at this time of year

I've been trying out Stan (the streaming service, not Wawrinka) for the free month.

It's got a nice catalogue of movies and TV shows, but everything else from it's user interface to it's streaming tech lacking compared to Netflix.

Also Netflix is quota free for me, Stan is not.

I'll probably cancel it after the free month, but for now I've been revisiting Twin Peaks.
As awesome as I remember.

The interface for both are (or at least were) quite similar, i restarted my Stan account because of their exclusivity of Ash vs Evil Dead, once that show has finished i'll probably cancel it again.

I honestly do not watch enough tv or movies to warrant the $10 or so a month it costs for these things.

Yeah the UI is very similar, but it feels clunky in comparison to Netflix. Perhaps I'm being a bit pedantic.
I've been using the Samsung SmartTV app, so it might be an issue exclusive to that version.

Another thing I forgot to mention is it seems to lack 5.1 audio support, which is kind of shitty.

I'm overseas when Laneway is on, which sucks. Their Like a Version of 'Do I Wanna Know' is awesome.
