In legal terms you cannot be convicted of both. Would be a contradiction of offences, just as you can't be convicted of killing someone and attempting to kill someone. It's either one or the other. Thankfully, accessing holds a far greater penalty than attempting to access anyway so it's not as though the result is beneficial for the criminal. Police will only use an 'attempting to ' charge as a backup in case they cannot prove the fundamental elements of the more serious crime.
Yeh, just sounded funny the way it was reported.

They're not exactly alone. The Football Manager series, beloved as it is, is notorious for having a match engine that doesn't start resembling normality for at least a month or two after release.

Still waiting on a patch, NES.

Even the great mass effect 1 had serious problems well after launch. Developers are pushed so hard by publishers with unrealistic release dates that it results in terrible finished products.

Publishers are just box movers, and they dictate rather savagely to the developers. EA is the worst in regards to this, by a long way. Staff turnover on developers that run under EA is an interesting case study.

When battlefront is out and you all find it unplayable or pretty rubbish. Blame them.

But then again, **** battlefront. Fallout 4 is out.

Man if I had a dollar for every time a nerd has typed Fallout 4 in the last week

I love how battlefront has lost all its momentum since the beta release and then going up against the hype from fallout 4.

Good thing battlefront is rubbish and no one will miss a good game by accident.

So let me get this straight. You are complaining about non-football talk in the thread designed for non-football talk.

"STOP LIKING THINGS I DON'T LIKE"

I have absolutely no idea who Poo Eckert is, or what its parents were thinking.

It took me the best part of a year to figure out "I get really a get...".

The "Beta" for Battlefront was surprisingly smooth. There comes a point where games just need to be released even if they're not perfect. Some games that spend a long time in development lose all momentum. I guess it's all about balance between releasing at optimum hype levels and releasing a complete, working product (though people seem to buy games regardless so optimum hype has become the main target there).

I actually think EA may have learned a bit from the Battlefield 4 nightmare at least temporarily. The issues were blindingly obvious in the beta for Battlefield 4, which is why the Battlefront beta was surprising (Still won't be buying it for a couple of months just to be sure). BF:Hardline crashed and burned partly because the disaster that was the BF4 launch was still fresh in people's minds and the Battlefield franchise will suffer in the future. They've basically ruined one of their cash cows.

Speaking from a direct link to someone at Dice, I can tell you they learned nothing from BF4, aside from the fact there wont be a BF5 for a while.
