Many years ago, my 2 brothers in law and I each got a slotless racing car set for Christmas. We managed to put all 3 tracks together stating in the lounge through the dining area/kitchen and back through to the lounge.

We had a great time over a few beers.

I'm not sure a series predicated on the technically superior Betamax VCR trumping rival VHS would stimulate the imagination quite as much.

Disagree on this one. When you remember that the reason VHS trumped Betamax originally, it was due to the pr0n industry adopting VHS....alternate history could be interesting.

The sequel could be based in history repeating where blu-Ray also came in on top of HD-DVD thanks to the pr0n industry.

So an overzealous mother on my FB friends list has just exploded in a massive murderous rage about her child being bitten at child care today. She posts pictures and it's a little red mark on the kids arm.

Of course, me being me I told her to calm down because it happens every day and the kid that did it isn't a criminal and likely neither are it's parents. Just calm down, let it go, nothing out of the ordinary has happened and to basically stop ruining childhood for everyone through overzealous litigations and social media storms that force tighter and tighter regulation on everything to do with children.

Oh god the rage in return, I BET YOU AREN'T A PARENT I'VE GOT 500 KIDS AND YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO HAVE AN OPINION ON THIS.

In my experience 2 out of every 3 mums on the internet are lawyers, immunologists, dietitians, child psychologists, doctors, Anne Geddes and David Avocado Wolfe (seriously, FTG) all rolled into one, so nyerr.

The Master System was more popular in Europe, Brazil and Australia.
It was Japan and North America where it flopped pretty badly.

It was mainly due to Nintendo licensing agreement with 3rd party developers that killed the Master System.

In 1991, Nintendo was found guilty of violating United States antitrust law and forced to abandon some of its licensing practices.
Too late for the Master System, but the gap between Genesis and the SNES in the US wasn't nearly as big, still in the Nintendo's favour though.
