Instant profit increase. People continue to buy this shit, ****s sake. Don't get me wrong, the IPhone itself is a great product for the most part, but Apple are an absolute shit stain of a company hell bent on controlling everything it's customers do, making money off every click they make and ensuring absolutely everything is patented (they patent stuff they don't even use in order to stifle innovation from competitors).

I admire them for the amount of things they get away with and people continue to back them in like total zealots. It's hilarious, hook line and sinker.

Of course they patent stuff they don't even use. What you call "innovation" is really just imitation - which is why every phone on the market tries to look exactly like an iPhone. If someone has done the research and created something first after investing so much time and money into it, it's up to them when and where to release it.

Secondly, those who buy an iPhone are already paying more for it - it's the most expensive phone on the market save for some designer phones that you buy from boutique stores at the casinos in Vegas. Most of those people aren't gonna give a shit about $30 for an adapter. Hell, most of those people will just buy a new set of Beats with the smaller headphone plug because now the 3.5mm jack is obsolete and they wanna show off their wafer thin phone...which Android phones can now never hope to match because the tech is now patented.

Apple gets away with what they do because they sell almost as many phones as the other companies combined. They came out with the tech first, so they deserve to get a premium for it. Oh and iTunes ****ing sucks, but you're kidding yourself if you don't think Samsung or any other company wouldn't do exactly the same thing if they thought they could get away with it.

I had the Xperia up until a couple of months ago. It was great for the first few months, but then it just fell of a cliff. Terrible battery life, random shutdowns, slow interface. I wouldn't touch another one.

They're pretty sturdy though. I dropped it, threw it, kicked it along the floor, no damage.

Which one? I had an earlier non-Z cheaper model which was good for 6 months. Now I have a z3 is almost faultless.

Few people I work with have had z1 and 2 with no issues over years of use.

Since it was brought up, the soccer fans engaging in this protest are a pack of f***wits.

All but a handful of the people who have been banned from attending the soccer have been banned because they absolutely deserved to be banned and have no business behaving the way they behaved at the football.

The A-League (which I have no love for at all, btw) was founded on the principle of reducing this sort of violence and fear, and creating a family friendly atmosphere. People starting fights, bringing weapons into the ground and lighting flares goes against what the A-League want in a crowd.

You don't get this at footy games, you don't get this at the cricket. This is purely ****ing idiots who have watched Green Street Hooligans a few too many times and think they can behave that way because they're at the soccer. Ban every single one of the campaigners who causes trouble. If we don't, we'll end up like Europe where fans get bashed and stabbed to death and people wont wear their team's colours for fear of attack at some grounds.

Sure, there are a handful of people who probably didn't deserve bans as severe as what they got, but those people are a drop in the ocean compared to the people who absolutely deserved their ban and shouldn't be allowed at games.
