Meagan Gale is as much of an actress as Nuclear Physicist Denise Richards.

Nontheless, I would have liked more than a token effort at attempting to film in Australia, more than a token attempt to cast an Australian actor in the lead role, there's so much more than could've done.

To use the AC/DC analogy, if they shut up shop and formed a new band with a new name, no one would be claiming them as Aussie anymore. That is essentially what Mad Max has done. It is no longer an Aussie franchise, it has been rebooted. The video game had the golden gate bridge on the cover ffs.

lol i'm going to start using AC/DC in all of my comparisons now.

How much do you need?

- Australian director
- Australian producer
- Australian writers
- Australian cinematographer
- Australian editor
- Australian production designer
- Partially shot in western Sydney
- Set in Australia
- A slew of Australian actors including Angus Sampson, John Howard, Megan Gale, Joy Smithers and triple points for Quentin

I mean we all would've liked to have seen Robert Hughes, Rolf Harris and Joan "The Freak" Ferguson in the roles played by Tom Hardy, Nicholas Hoult and Charlize Theron, but it just wasn't to be.

- Nathan Jones who who play Rictus Erectus is Aussie
- Hugh Keays-Byrne who played as Toecutter in mad max was also Immortan joe fury road
- some of Immortan joe wives played by Aussie models

Mad Max: fury road is as Aussie a Movie can get while still making money. Aussie movies don't sell not even in Australia.

Quentin is in it. That makes it practically South Australian

And what an epic game it was too.

Aussie movies stink ....

Except wolf creek....

Aussie actors stink.....

Except hugo weaving whos was born in Nigeria.....anyways

The best Australian movie I've ever seen was a 1979 film shot entirely around the northern peninsula of Sydney called Palm Beach. It starred Bryan Brown and Nat Young, and was directed by a guy called Albie Thoms. It also starred Betty from Hey Dad. Probably not to everyone's tastes but I loved it. Summed up Northern Beaches life to a tee.
