How r-tarded are out supporters. We average like 15k a game and we have three different supporter groups all vying to be number one. I'm not going to name names because I know it will just be deleted but srsly people just put all your efforts in to one group, it would be much more productive.

The outer army is a very different entity to what it was on formation.

Very few of the same people and very different ideals.

As such active participation seems to have dropped a long way from the peak of a few seasons ago.

Being an Outer Army committee member for most of it's time, i have to say some have no idea in the workings of what we try to do. The Outer Army Committee and it's members over the years have done things that most don't know about, like donating GPS's to the Magpies, donation money to the QEH in the last 3 years, having sponsored Power players in the past 5 years, sponsored Magpie players as well, donating to the Back In Black fund, feeding supporters on game day, donating to Foodbank and giving out over 200 plus Outer Army flags last season.

We've been working with the club to make game day experiences better each year. We don't do travel much due to the cheap prices of plane tickets, but if members want to travel we'll do our best to accommodate them. We nearly all got kicked out of the Dome in Melbourne a few years ago because we wanted to unveil our Heritage Crowd banner (which we did in the end) and if that ain't passion for the club and in what we do, i don't know what is. Please don't knock us, as we try to do our best to serve the club, it's supporters, our members and the community at large.

Yes, we have different ideals but we strive to work together to achieve our main aim of adding colour and atmosphere to game days. However this is difficult to achieve this if supporters are despondent with the way our team is performing on field. But the flags are out there, we just need them being waved at games. Hopefully 2013 will be a better year on and off the field of play. Adelaide Oval is just around the corner and the Outer Army will be there doing the hard yards. We are one... We Are Port Adelaide! Thank you for listening and go the Power in 2013 and beyond.

New Star Wars film in 2015 and it's not being directed or written by George Lucas. Cannot wait.
Nothing can ever replicate sitting in a full-size cinema in 1980 (or thereabouts) and seeing the opening moments of the first movie. The now famous scrolling text setting the scene, the little diplomatic ship firing astern and then the cinema rumbling as the pursuing Star Destroyer comes seemingly endlessly onto the screen. In the pre-internet days there were stuff-all ways to spoil that for people yet to see it.

Do you also not see why rain on your wedding day is not ironic? (Unless you are a weather forecaster who predicted a sunny day).

If one team dominates a competition to the extent Centrals did - and in terms of consecutive GF's not even Port in its heyday could match that and Centrals did it with a salary cap nominally applying across the competition - then there is clearly an issue with that competition that means its integrity - its strength, wholeness, unimpairment, even its probity - has to be brought into question.
god i thought you were gonna break out into an Alannis Morrisette song there for a minute

Being a member of two I can say there is no vying to be number one, or if there is it is in the heads of a few individuals. The Outer Army and the Cheer Squad (PACSSC) serve different needs and there is a significant amount of crossover membership. The relationship between the groups is amicable and there is no need or logical reason to try and combine them. Who is the third supporter group, the Alberton Army? If so there is a different dynamic there and it is probably wiser they are and are seen to be a different group. But each of those groups brings people to the footy in a different way and keeps them coming while we are crap. So maybe we should come up with a few more?
