From what I've read about it, the botched reconstructive surgery, and botched attempts at correcting same, were more responsible for the end of his on-screen career than the accident.

He got a pretty successful career as a voice actor, was the voice of the Joker in the animated Batman series for numerous years.

They were all so drab and plain looking. Very British of the time. It was obviously a deliberate ploy to cast all the killjoy authority figures as Englishmen.

Have to say as a lifelong fan that was really let down by the prequels. This was an awesome return.

No spoilers, but all the stuff that has been said about real sets and less cgi was spot on. Great feel to the movie

One thing is fore sure, that was the worst score music for any Star Wars by a long way. It was shit. Really really bland.

There was just as many CG characters and landscapes as the prequels, don't be fooled.

I'm getting the vibe that the Star Wars nerds who read every spoiler and basically created the movie in their head are going to be sorely disappointed because no movie will ever be able to recreate what they have imagined as an epic tale of almost religious zealotry.

The rest of us who just enjoy being entertained by a movie will be pleased that it's worth the money we spend on it which is kind of rare for a blockbuster movie these days.

I didn't read any spoilers or craft any ideas in ny head apart from a few obvious things that have been coming since 1983.

I'm a little disappointed, as I said, 2 things that give Star Wars its distinct style are its camerawork and music, and both of those are completely average in this film. Just like Port Adelaide, it doesn't matter how good the football is, if we're running around with a silver and teal dolphin dick guernsey it will never feel legit. It's gotta be presented the right way.
