The Indiana Jones trilogy.
I'm not counting the 4th one because everyone knows it's shit.
It's no surprise that the two best Indiana Jones movies were ones that had Judeo-Christian artifacts as their MacGuffin (the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail). Temple of Doom and the Crystal Skull (which should have stayed as a Disneyland ride, btw) didn't resonate with audiences because the plot devices weren't part of popular culture.

If they ever made a fifth Indiana Jones movie - and I think they will - I would say it would be based around the Lance of Longinus aka the Spear of Destiny - the spear that pierced the side of Christ on the cross. Lots of reasons to include the Knights Templar, Baphomet, the Illuminati and all that estoteric stuff that people seem to love hearing about...instead of alien spaceships and alternate dimensions.

They were good because they were fresh, the third one was a crazy cash-in decades later. We've now reached the point where people are naming any three remotely connected movies. The 'Carry On' franchise, Charles Bronson's 'Death Wish' series, it goes on forever. Many of them were entertaining and while it's not for me to say which was best there are few that are classics.

Yuck. Though the Good, the Bad and the Ugly is one of my all time favorite movies.

Actually are you just trolling me with that list? I mean the Naked Gun is incredible, but the others...

BTW I did say personally :p

EDIT: The Karate Kid.
Philistine

I do not recall anyone not liking The Three Colors trilogy.

The Tube is the most efficient public transit system I've used or at least on par with New Yorks subway. Sure it gets crowded on peak hour but it pretty much gets you anywhere you want and fast. Maybe someone can enlighten me as to why Australian cities don't have these kind of under ground rail networks.
