It was an overweight women on his facebook with a status that read something like "mery xmas to all of my fellow prt power supportars" and a picture of her wearing some sort of khaki coloured singlet with the Port logo on it, pointing to herself.

edit Incognito mode they show up so has to be the pop up blocker, will have investigate premium here

edit 2...turned off pop up blocker and Platinum Membership - https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/account/upgrades so all images show and spoiler tags still BF error but work fine in incognito

It was to show the weight of the weapon itself and that it was top heavy like a mace or an axe, so when Finn got his butt kicked holding a relatively weightless lightsaber you'd be able to understand why. Look at how the storm trooper is standing - feet wide apart to balance the weight, rather than close together the way someone would hold a lighter weapon. Every blow from that weapon had Finn being pushed back.

The spin itself was just him showing off to tell the audience he's been trained how to use the weapon, kind of like Bruce Lee doing this:
