My choices of teams are entirely random, but once I pick a team for whatever reason I find it impossible to change, even when I have no emotional ties with it. I have teams for nearly every collective sport but I don't really care about all of them.

The ones I do care about and follow with some frequency are Flamengo (mostly football but they're actually a multi-sport club and I'm Flamengo all the way in whatever crap they might choose to play), Liverpool (football - some people call me part of the PlayStation generation because I have a team in Europe), Utah Jazz (basketball, since the days of John Stockton), Oakland Athletics (baseball, it all started when I read Moneyball), St Helens (rugby league, saw them live once in my first contact with the sport) and the last but very intense addition to that list, Port Adelaide.

I don't even watch baseball but I'm a Indians "fan" if you want to call it that because I watched Major League.

Now that I've mentioned it I feel like watching it again.

Awesome movie.

Gee society has gone backwards. When a movie was made with a kickass female lead, everybody just went and enjoyed it fairly, no fuss was made. Now it would be painted as a triumph of feminism in Hollywood and the strong, independent woman, as if we have just stepped out of the 1960s and these things are still new and rare.
