Watching Louis CK's Horace and Pete. Worth it to see Alan Alda call Louie a miserable campaigner, a ********er and a pissant.

No good? Horace is OK 20 minutes in but typical Louie. Very grounded in reality and awkward in a way that isn't very humorous, more uncomfortable.

Zach Galifianakis sort of always plays the same character, dialling the offensiveness up and down marginally. Unlike Louis CK (with whom this discussion started) who can play from avuncular to sociopathic dick. Have you seen Zach in Bored to Death? His character worked really well in that, with Jason Schwartzman and Ted Danson.

If it wasn't for the OTT dope smoking stuff it could IMO have become a mainstream show. No limit to potential plot lines, looked pretty inexpensive to make, great chemistry amongst the leads.

I loved Bored to Death. Was a very unexpected series. Funny in a weird and subtle way.

That ep when they were smoking dope while on a stakeout in a car. I was in stitches.

The automated anwer listed several possible areas I might have wanted to contact and asked me to enter 1 through to 4 depending on my need. I selected my number and an automated message said something like "No need to have done that, all calls now go back to one number" then the phone made a dial tone noise and connected to a new recorded message which said "This number has changed, the number to contact is now 8123 4567," whereupon there was another dial tone noise and a lady answered.
So effectively the 3 intervening steps between me initially dialling and the lady answering were electronic w***ery. Nice!
