It's a bad sign that your chief concern about supermarkets is grog.

Would've agreed until the first time I went to the US and discovered the joys of being able to get a dirt cheap six pack on any corner anywhere.

It's to do with protecting coles etc who are affiliated with Liqourland or whoever & own them for all I know & "protecting hotel bottle shops" blah blah.. it's a nonsense anyone within a decent radius of a dan murphy doesn't GAF about either, so a supemarket with a little grog section is hardly the end of the world.

Grog is a controlled and licensed product by the government, it isn't as simple as sticking it on a shelf and having some 15yo sell it to you.

Costco and ALDI sell grog interstate mate & they card people like any other outlet do

I just finished a month of relief managing a bottleshop and having an off location license in my name during that time. NSW have the tightest RSA laws in the country. Places do do it but it isn't simple nor easy.

Last year I was in the US. Visited New Orleans and Vegas. Plenty of people drinking on the streets and the stuff is cheaaapppp.

Did not see one bad incident in the three weeks I was there. For some reason I just cant imagine this working in 'straya. Hindley Street would be a warzone.

40,000 Murray Cod fingerlings were just released into the Murray in the Kingston and Swan Reach area. The first time in history SA has seen Cod stocking. Another 60,000 to come, along with the potential for more. This is great news.

It's a non issue. I live where they sell everywhere and not a drunk in sight. Mind you they don't prop up people who screw up either. One of life's pleasures being able to go downstairs in the middle of the night and get a toasted sandwich and a Heineken at the 7/11 shop because you feel like it.

Works well enough in the UK.
YOU SIMPLY HAVE A SIGN AT COUNTERS WITH UNDER 18 servers saying you have to use a different cashier and if there is only one cashier, they call the manager.
