I was listening to a Rooster Teeth podcast in like 2009 when that show first came out where they were all saying it was garbage and that it would ruin Amy Poehler's career. Strong prediction. Seven seasons later Chris Pratt has gone from nobody to megastar and Ansari and Aubrey Plaza are doing very well for themselves too.

I did not expect a Rooster Teeth reference to show up in this thread.

Quick question here, does anyone here have any experience in rental laws?

My sister has to hand over the keys and final inspection of their old house, the owner said they are not going to release the bond because of a few dirty windows and a bit of dust, i always though the owners kept a bond if the house was damaged and the owner had to hire someone to come into to fix.

The house is in no way damaged other than what the owners already knew about, which was only a broken bathroom light.

They can claim cleaning costs from the bond, but I can't imagine that would be worth the whole bond.

Tell her not to sign anything agreeing to their claim, force them to lodge a formal claim, because for that they will need evidence.

I had a landlord try to screw me once. Ended badly for him. Tell your sis to follow protocol and all will be good. But also, clean thoroughly next time. I took before and after photos of every place I rented. The 'afters' were always better than the 'befores'. The last place I rented, the owner rang the real estate agent to pass on his thanks for improving the place! Should've asked for a reference.
Like any contractual arrangement, ya gotta protect yourself. Most landlords are more likely to be the 'screwed' than the 'screwer' but some are just scum.

Sound advice. Same principle applies to holiday rentals. We got stung once with a dubious landlord claim of damage and have thoroughly photographed every place since

Jaws is a damn good film aside from the fake ass looking shark.. the chemistry between Scheider, Shaw & Dreyfuss is top notch, great subtle humour.

I love when it almost descends in to a sort of road trip movie, with those 3 bouncing off each other, and the shark becomes an afterthought.
