Unless they were doing it before the 'ex' I have to ask why? I have been through this...not best mate though...and was fine with it as it was their business. I don't own anyone

Bit difficult for me to go to a mate's house and see my ex on the couch. Or for her to come into my house with him. I don't want to hear any intimate details about the two either from him. Would he ever trust me around her? All in all, I don't really want to see someone after we break up. Nothing in it for me. If she starts going out with a mate, that's fine, but I won't be mates with him any more.

It would be pretty complicated if you and your x weren't friends also, like if you ended up not liking that person for some reason and especially if there were children involved. It would be hard for me to stay friends with my friend who was with an x i didn't like or get along with. I would also have a huge problem if i didn't like the way he was being a step father to any children i had not that i have any. There is so many if's and but's. All you can do is handle it like a mature rational human being.

It would change the whole dynamics of the relationship you have with that friend. Only if they pursued a relationship. If they had a one night stand would you still be mates?

Yes, but there may be reasons other than that for me not wanting to hang around with her, if I still liked her we wouldn't break up. If we have broken up then we probably don't get along.
