His speech about Best Documentary Short Subject being the most meaningful Oscar was very clever and had genuine wit without being smart arsed as I have seen him before.G" tribute?
Chris Rock was great. But Louis CK should host the Oscars one day...

For those who missed it see below.Yeah, it was great. Mainly coz it was absolutely positively 100% true! "The Oscar's going home in a Honda Civic."
Studio race to get a Brie Larson & Alicia Vikander movie into production heats up...
10 times?
Gee.
Who am I kidding? I ain't done yet...
Save yourself, the DVD will be out soon. I thought seeing Episode III 5 times in 24 hours was bad, and that period includes a 7 hour drive to Adelaide between viewings!
Five times in a day! F@%k. Double-digits is definitely a record for me. Only other movies I've seen more than once in the cinema were Pulp Fiction - coz my 19yo ass loved it - and The Phantom Menace - coz I was numb and confused after the first viewing so I had to see it again and, yes, my worst fears were confirmed...
The Chinese don't own Tandou Station. Not to mention the over allocation of water to Chinese owned irrigators resulting in water supply for drinking reaching an all time low. Have a read of this:

Webster completes takeover of Tandou
The fact that Tandou Station grows water hungry crops like cotton and rice has a lot to do with the lack of water in the Menindee Lakes.
Yeah, Cubbie has a huge amount of water in on-farm storage just evaporating away but it was the same before the Chinese bought it. I lived up that way, and worked in the cotton industry, in the 1990's and the Chinese only bought Cubbie a few years ago. To me people living in NSW upstream of the Menindie Lakes complaining about people living in Queensland "preventing natural flow" is a bit disingenuous. It's Cubbie Station that hoards the water up North preventing natural flow.
I class Broken Hill as upstreamWhat about people living neither up nor down stream of Menindee Lakes?
