i watched the first rocky tonight

to my surprise i don't think i've ever seen the whole film before

%$(*%$ fantastic. ADRIAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

i want to work my way through the rest now. looking forward to hulk hogan, mr t and dolph of course

hard to see how a respectable film went through the wringer so many times so quickly

It was a slow burn. Rocky 2 carried on from the first one, 3 began to get a bit ridiculous, then 4; 30 years later Rocky 4 is still a punch line. At the time though the change was so gradual it wasn't noticed.

Then back to 5... Well it tried. No more needs to be said about that. Rocky Balboa was too little but not necessarily too late, and as good as Creed is, it doesn't exactly resolve a lot of things about the Rocky character either.
