The aging process ain't kind to rock vocalists man.. A less shrill Burke Shelley seemed pretty cool live though

Budgie were a hoot both times but I wish Tony Bourge was there, every bit Iommi's equal for me.
I still hate myself for not seeing Budgie.

The trouble is, my prize tree and the one whose fruit I cherish is a strawberry tree, or muntingia also known as a Panama cherry:

The fruit is insanely delicious and the fruit ripen within a day, so fruit fly don't even try. But it grows so fast that pruning and nets is out of the question. I planted ours in October 2014, when it was just a stick a foot high. It is now about 25 foot high, and 15 foot wide. Pruning it down just accelerates it's growth
Holy crap! How big will it get?

One for the AC/DC fans. Those innovative folks over at GWS have a 60 second countdown before bounce where they show their players onscreen and play a motivating track. If only we'd thought of that we wouldn't have been so humiliated. Im not an afficionado of the genre but it was definitely AC/DC and I *think* it was Hells Bells.

Pretty sure Hells Bells has been in AFL rotation a long time, they play it before the bounce at finals.

Smuggled in my camera last night, will upload some videos to YouTube later today.

Just leaving the port club. What a place. Went for a walk across alberton oval. Amazing. **** you locals are spoiled. The coffee was exceptional too.

Also, sat next a bloke last might who was a Camry fan, and was alright. He said he didn't get involved in the booing of Tippett. Also chatted about Robert Plant.

I didn't mind that Rival Sons support band, certainly an upgrade on Five Finger Death Punch. Had a very Led Zep feel.

Frost kills it, so it will probably die once we get a decent frost. I have cuttings that I strike to plant if it dies. People in cold areas actually only grow it for 6 months or so...that is enough time for it to grow big enough to harvest fruit...and strike cuttings each year that they grow indoors during the snow season, then plant in spring. You can google it. It is an amazing plant

A follow up to my Barnaby Joyce running the country post last week. This video from The Insiders team is a good laugh. The best bit is the last 20 seconds when he reads out Malcolm's txt after arriving back from China.

How about declaring that shit Englishy accent Depp you fading filmmaking f**k

Took me a second to realise who he was. What is with that accent? He sounded like he'd just woken up from a three day bender.

Barnaby Joyce would have to be the most popular PM in the last 5 years after today's comedy gold

I love the fact that this occurred while he was acting PM. Makes it look like this was his #1 Priority.

It's like the whole Jack Sparrow thing permanently infringed upon his vocal cords.

His only way out is camp, over-the-top, characters like Wonka/Hatter.

That's awesome.

"We love Australia and want to protect it.

However we will never come back here you backwards "ossie" scum"

This is hilarious

Clearly guns are being pointed at Pistol and Boo off camera

Having been involved in Agri politics for about 20 years at State/ Federal level and briefed on many occasions by experts on the various dangers to Australia from imported diseases, I am stunned by your total and complete ignorance of the possible desecration of sectors of Australian rural industry.

Added to that, a close friend is employed in SA Animal Health and participated in outbreaks both here and the UK.

You may wish to take the p...s for your own gratification and I seldom get this angry but urban based people must understand how much Australia relies on its freedom from a multitude of diseases severely impacting on their production and capacity to export.

Clearly, Universities lack this basic capability.

I liked a lot. Hearing and seeing Sabbath live, wow, blew those tinny sounding recordings of the 60s and 70s out of the water. Even more power in the music with the modern sound. If they didn't exist at the time and released those albums today, they would still become metal gods.

Anyone who didn't wanna go due to no Bill Ward made a bad call, the fill in was an immense drummer.

They're getting old but they still gave everything, even with Ozzy shuffling around the stage like Mr Burns.

Really enjoyed the show, I think I was the only one in our group that knew any Black Sabbath song. From the start with Black Sabbath through to Paranoid, I had a ball.

The only thing my wife liked, except the free wine, was the drum solo. Agree edgie he was fantastic.

I said to the group I was with that the lead singer had very much a Robert Plant sound about him.

How was the beard on the keyboard player. Looked like he had just stepped out from a Hatfields/McCoy battle.

Relax

It's amusing because they're a couple of incredibly rich people being forced to record a message they look visibly uncomfortable saying as if they are being held hostage by the acting PM on a whim. Despite being professional actors they can't even go beyond looking totally insincere about it.

I'm sorry you can't see the amusing side of the whole situation.
