Boo hoo, hard work. I'm 27 and have a lot of working life ahead of me, this next house will not be my last.

look, i'm not really having a go at you and good on you for making it work. reckon you'll do well and you deserve it

but there's no disputing the facts around housing prices and the average wage. in adelaide we're still pretty lucky that the outer suburbs are actually affordable and you've been able to take advantage of that

nationally, it's pretty much a shitfest.

I like the idea of going off the grid and doing arts n' crafts in the tassie wilderness like sobrave wid me collection of bad cardigans, **** ebay though.

ha, this reminds me of a Boro Postman Pat episode where he's asked to deliver a package and he's like "Ohhh, not ****ing Ebay again. I'm going to jail for this shit, i'm ****in tellin ya."

so all it took was 5 years of hard work slaving away and living in a shithole? and now, 5 years later, you're ready to move a couple of kms closer to the city?

sounds ******* fantastic!

Sit back and whinge about it or do something like feel has.

No campaigner is going to walk up and hand it to because you are so brave.

I completely agree that other states may be a different kettle of fish all together, housing prices are hilarious over there. Selling Houses goes to all sorts of semi-rural areas around Melbourne and fix up some real shitholes that are priced in the 400's before they even sink a cent into them.

lol man, I even cop a shitload and feel super meek about mentioning where I live because people are like LOL ELIZABETH, LOL BOGAN, LOL YOU'RE GONNA GET MURDERED.

You know what, I own a house guy. While you rent in Glenelg pissing your cash up the wall or still live with Mummy and Daddy out the back in a granny flat. Marathon not a sprint.

couldn't really give a stuff about owning my home, pretty happy renting and being able to move about easily tbh

i'm sure at some stage it will happen, but when it does it'll be well within my means because i won't be living in a capital city anyway

still reckon house prices atm are a crock of shit and our entire political system is geared around generating as much wealth as possible for boomers who are already well geared up

I sold me house at TTG payed me debts and move to the Yankalilla.

Happy days..

living the dream here folks

why would anyone want to live in an overcrowded city when you can pay less, have a more relaxed pace of life an be surrounded by the beautiful wilderness :rainbow:

as long as you've got work nearby or don't mind a decent commute, what's the issue?

I would kill to live in Renmark. 300k buys you a 5 bedroom character filled century home.

Eh It cost me $280k to get a decent house in freaking Paralowie about a year and a half ago. House across the road from me which looks about the same size went for $260k the other week.....crap!
I did what I had to do for a deposit, but better off now as mortgage repayments not much different from what I was paying in rent. Honestly, the killer is getting the deposit, especially if you are renting and single!. After that you just gotta spend time searching. A lot of shit houses out there but you can come across the odd nice one that will make it worth while.

It also buys you plenty of Riverland campaigners.

Speaking of which.... Jumbo ???

Paying off a house with lots of living space and 2 decent sized sheds and outdoor area featuring in ground spa from the 70s (the previous owners possibly being swingers) that is literally around the corner from a pool and gym that I never use that was 220k 6 years ago.

If the pub was closer it would be great.

Does anyone want to cave that little shits head in who says that dubstep is like an electronic version of heavy metal, I know I do.

I have 23 pubs in walking distance of my house.

I only go to the closest one because I am so ****ing lazy. But it's nice to know the other ones are there.

Stephen Rowe has a music show?

And yes.

See its people like you with perceptions like that that make it a pretty awesome place to buy property cheap. You're welcome to keep complaining, but people like Terror are happy to hustle a bit to reach their goals.

To be fair people who give others shit for the suburb they live in are normally massive campaigners. How on earth do people think its acceptable?

when the mid-high earning boomers are retired they can cash in on their 10 investment properties

Who do you think is going to benefit most from that divestment?

1. Boomers
2. Gen Xers
3. Millennials
