Massive Game Changer, more than double the performance while using around half the power at a third of the cost. Yes please.

Looks like a great card but i do expect the RRP will be around the $1k mark, the $599 is the US RRP, convert into AUD and put the "Straya tax" on top might not be so cost effective.

Sorry to be a bummer, it looks like a fantastic card but i can't imagine it'll be that cheap at launch.

I get the joke but in truth... GTX cards do not come down in price all that much, GTX 980's still go for about $800, which is only about $175 less than when i bought mine a couple of years ago, even with the introduction of the 980ti.

I've got a 980 STRIX, the best card i've ever hard. It runs completely silently 90% of the time, the fans only turn on when it gets warm. I played the entirety of FO4 without the fans turning on once, and that was during some fairly warm weather too. Nothing has pushed it yet.

That's my seat man. Despite anyone's political leanings Albo is the only sane candidate in our electorate. We did have Tanya Plibersek until the new boundaries and she was a pretty good local member.

JIM CASEY

Candidate for Grayndler

As a firefighter I have seen with my own eyes increased extreme weather behaviour brought about by climate change and global warming. We need action now.

Jim Casey is a father, firefighter and long term labour rights activist. Born in Lithgow, he credits his school teacher mother and merchant sailor father with instilling a work ethic and passion for social justice that he carries to this day.

Jim has been a firefighter in the local area since 1997, and has served at both the Leichhardt and Balmain Fire Stations. For the past seven years, Jim has led the NSW branch of the Fire Brigades Employees’ Union. During his time as State Secretary, the FBEU has seen significant wins, including stopping the NSW Government’s policy of temporary closure of local fire stations and defending workers compensation for firefighters injured on the job.

Jim joined the Greens because, as a firefighter, he’s witnessed fires increasing in frequency and intensity due to climate change. Working closely with Tim Flannery's Climate Council on the impact of climate change on fire behaviour, Jim was a founding member of the Firefighters Climate Alliance.

The Greens commitments to environmental sustainability, social justice, peace and nonviolence, and grassroots democracy are an easy fit with Jim's own values. With shared policy focuses of job security, climate change, housing affordability, and education it’s been easy to connect Jim’s experiences with workplace, union and community activism to that of the Greens and representing Grayndler in Federal Parliament.

Jim lives in Stanmore with partner Miranda and kids, Beatrix and Seamus. Jim is proud to call Grayndler home and even prouder for the opportunity to represent the area in Canberra.

QUICK FACTS

Education: University of NSW, BA(Hons).

Experience: Firefighter, 1997 - 2016. Vice-President FBEU 2006-2009, State Secretary 2009-2016

Hey.

Hey guys.

I get the feeling this guy knows something about fires. And...fighting them?

Having a unionist successfully become a Greens MP in a high profile battle like this would be pretty much an ultimate panic scenario for the ALP, because if they can't even represent unions they are visibly nothing (and not just ideologically nothing).

The Greenie must be an extremist for the Terrorgraph to give Albo such a free kick - especially a South Sydney fan who ripped into them when Murdoch tried to kill them off.

Or Albo has a shit load of good photos showing the Editor in compromising position.

Or they realise that Greens vs ALP with a unified conservative ticket opposing them puts Libs in the box seat

A seemingly unremarkable candidate for the only significant left wing party in Australian politics being referred to as an extremist. Just lol. It makes the Greens look like utter nutcases compared to a Labor that the audience for this pish already sees as firmly on the left.

Nah Labor wont be courting the Greens. Look at the where the Greens are throwing the overwhelming majority of their resources for the house of reps, at a few inner city seats in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart, that are traditionally safe Labor seats. They aren't going hard at traditional or marginal Liberal seats. Labor aren't happy about losing long term members, who are ex ministers and potential ministers in any new Labor government.

Tinnie Terrorists In Bizarre ISIS Plot

"FIVE wannabe jihadis hitched a tinnie to a clapped-out car for a road trip from Melbourne to Cairns, the first leg in a bid to sail to Indonesia then join ISIS terrorists in Syria, it is alleged.
....
It’s believed the AFP decided to swoop because they feared the men would come to harm at sea. Officers were gobsmacked by the stupidity of the alleged plot."

Potential Darwin Award nomination.
