Sure, we're finding them but we have no method of reaching them.
That's not necessarily true: https://www.theguardian.com/science...wking-and-yuri-milner-launch-100m-star-voyage

The other thing, and this is really strange, if we could build a habitable space craft that could fly close to the speed of light, it wouldn't matter if it took thousands of years from our point of view to get to a habitable planet, due to special relativity from the point of view of the travellers that might only be decades: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_relativity#Time_dilation.

Not yet, but galactic colonisation may well be game on in the not too distant future.

The horrible thing is I never had a cat that couldn't hunt successfully even with a bell. I think they view it as a challenge. ;)
My cat has a collar that has two bells and a massive red bandana on it so he looks like some sort of mexican bandit.

Birds still can't spot the campaigner though.

I love my cat, he matches the description Feel gave of his viking cat. He's the son of a house cat that would take on dogs who got knocked up by a feral tom. He's like the Staffy of catdom.

I blew it with his name though. He's black and white, I follow a couple of black and white teams but I called him Knicks :screamcat:

Cat's are too smart for a bell. They stalk up without a sound, pounce and the last thing the poor birdy hears is ding-a-ling when it's too late. You should lock the cat inside at night. Where I live there's a huge number of birds all keeping a look out. At times I can tell where the cat is just by listening in to the alarm calls. I tell my cat off whenever I see her eyeing off the birds, and I feed her and/or give her pats and kisses right next to the dead body of any mouse that I find before throwing it out. She knows.

I have a friend who has a beige-brown coloured cat he called Saxby, after the ginger beer. It's the same colour as the label on a bottle of Saxby's.

My cat Henry is a complete sook who has impeccably bad timing.
The moment you think to yourself you should get up off the couch is always the time he decides to jump on your lap for pats though and always there for a cuddle when you go to bed. Very affectionate cat.
He's happy to play second fiddle to my dog thankfully as my dog is an alpha bitch. So not too many fights

I hope that article that says "They were worried for the safety of the men on the boat" is code for "We didn't want them to get away so that we can waterboard them and nab their accomplices"
I would d have met them with a form to sign to cancel there passports and the towed them out of our waters.

My god I hate the preferential voting system, people have a right to know exactly who they are voting for on face value.
Nah. Preferential voting is good.

In Canada and the UK with first past the post, it's very bad indeed.

There's a shitload of things wrong with Australia but the political system is very good indeed. It's just that people keep voting for campaigners.

Yeah, pretty standard fare from Murdoch's sewer...

Ken said 'you get what you deserve' but Rupert bloody Murdoch's dodged getting his for nearly 90 years....

On cats, my wife and I adopted ours from the Animal Welfare League on Cormack Rd, and brought her to Canada with us. It's easy to bring a cat to Canada, just needed anti-rabies shots. It cost a bit though, cost more to bring our cat then it cost to bring me.

But she's still with us, has diabetes these days but still as raucous as a street cat from near Alberton should be!
