Finish 3rd/4th every season since the beginning of time, unable to keep up with fellow big spending clubs.

Watch every big spending club completely bottle the season from start to finish. Top at new year.

Still manage to finish second to club that was nearly relegated 12 months earlier, despite beating them twice.

I don't understand what Randy Lerner and Mike Ashley want from their ownership.

Utterly clueless when it comes to the game.

Seemingly oblivious to their responsibilities - Ashley allegedly signed off on purchasing NUFC without doing a due diligence and took on £100,000,000+ worth of debt without realising; Lerner has always seemed intent on nosediving Villa as if he was a Brum fan.

Neither have realised that between £140,000,000-£220,000,000 in annual Premiership TV revenue is sorta preferable to £3,000,000 in Championship TV revenue, so you should probably fortify and invest in access to that stream.

Both seem oblivious to the accumulation of hatred they're mining out of entire cities.

Both seem intent on driving down the value of both clubs so profit-on-sale is hardly a motive.

It's bonkers.
I am by no means a soccer fan but the mere fact a club like Leicester City could win the title against a range of clubs with way more money and resources available to them suggests that those big clubs are being terribly mis-managed. Something about owning a football team seems to send the ego of otherwise smart men through the roof.

I'm not familiar with Aston Villa and Lerner but I can only assume Ashley gets a tax write-off for his NUFC losses. Considering how he runs his Sports Direct empire on 'nickle and dimed' principles, his profligacy and incompetence running his football club is staggering.

He LITERALLY wouldn't f*** her with someone else's cock.
Not to make light of cancer but surely sitting down with your family and telling then you have cancer....... of the cock would be ****ing near impossible to do.

You would hope Ron Jeremy died suddenly outside the hospital and had his donors card on him just as you were being wheeled in to surgery...

Lerner got so lucky so many times. We really should have gone down years ago, but we managed spirited runs late in awful seasons to scrape home to 17th or so. It's almost like those spirited runs made him think the rest of the season was the anomaly.

You can't get into our level of the mire in a single season. It really takes 5 or 6 years of beating the spirit and football intelligence out of a club through bad decisions and a lack of investment.

Newcastle could come straight back up. We wont, no way, not unless the new owner arrives and changes the club top to bottom very quickly.

You know why ya smart alec, I know he's British.
Honest, I don't know why.

... but I did think maybe you didn't know he was British because you'd only seen him in Pacific Rim.

Edit: My bad for never having seen an episode of The Wire :$

Read the article on Adelaidenow on how Joe Ingles really wanted to play for the 36ers and was basically willing to accept anything but somehow the 36ers in their professionalism stuffed it up by offering him way below the minimum league salary and also spelling his name wrong in the contract offer.
That was ten years ago, though... and you'd hope a-lot has changed since then!

But reading your post cold after missing out on Brad Newley to the Kings?

Oh man, you had my head ready to explode.

The thought of having Newley & Ingles in Sixers uniforms was too much.

Mind you, they stuffed up Newley back in the day, too...
