I've bashed through 5 seasons of Peep Show in as many days. Genuine top shelf, probably my second favourite comedy after Always Sunny.

It's incredibly good. The chemistry between Mark and Jeremy is fantastic but the side characters they introduce are just as good.

I have a love/hate relationship with Load and ReLoad. For me there's enough good songs on each, but I'd like both albums more if it wasn't Metallica playing them. To me it's always felt like they are well below what Metallica are capable of writing and performing, like an F1 car just cruising around in 4th gear.

In saying that, if I could pick any Metallica song to hear them play live I'd pick Fixxxer without needing to give it much thought

I dunno, I think it's different enough to stand apart and therefore any comparison to what came before is null, it's apples and oranges. I guess that's one reason why I don't go at all on Death Magnetic, musically it is in the style of their thrash albums, but it falls so incredibly short in it's quality.

ReLoad is quite a bit of filler though IMO, between Load and that, there are 27 songs! They would have been better off maybe condensing both albums to one double album of 20 songs.

Death Magnetic suffers from the trend of modern production techniques. When you take all the mids out of something and turn the volume way up, it becomes distorted, flat and one dimensional. I think there are many more nuances in those songs that the production doesn't allow.

Sad to say they're using the same guy again for the next record.

Next time you're driving in the Adelaide Hills take the Ambelside Road from Grunthal, on the Onkaparinga Valley Road, to the quaint village of Ambelside. Or maybe take a bit of time to visit the motor museum at Blumberg at the northern end of the Onkaparinga Valley Road.
