Jimmy, is there a significant difference between 100% agave tequila and the regular stuff?

I'm not Jimmy, but I know tequila. 100% agave is the equivalent of single malt whiskey vs "mixto" or mixed tequila, which is the equivalent of blended whiskey.

Then you've got grades - blanco, or silver, is the worst. Oro - gold - that's crap too. Those two you'd only do shots with. Consider them to be like Johnnie Walker Red or Jim Beam. The house tequila.

Respado - aged tequila. Now we're talking - you'll notice the difference here, as the tequila has been stored in a barrel like whiskey - the equivalent is more your Johnnie Black or Gold. Anejo...extra aged. We're getting into Johnnie Green/Blue territory.

And if you really want to go all out, you go for a $500 bottle of extra Anejo...which is more like your 30 year old laphroig.

Can you tell the difference? Sure, once you've acquired a taste for it. But if you're just doing shots and don't want to actually sip it like scotch, you really wouldn't bother with anything more than Respado.

I'm not a big tequila drinker but I've had Don Julio a few times which is about a hunge a bottle.. whether it's 100% i don't know. I used to drink that cheap shit El Toro when I was teen that was horrble instant puke stuff.

El Toro smells like a burnout. I like the smell of burning rubber* but not as a beverage.

*To a point.

This 60 minutes special last night was great. It was great to finally see Mick Drury tell his story in an interview. Drury was the cop Rogerson and Christopher Dale "Rent a Kill" Flannery tried to assassinate after drug dealer Alan Williams put a bounty on his head. Drury almost died but Rogerson got off.

I haven't seen it for more than 10 years I reckon, thank god we have a decent range of liquor these days

El Toro & Jose Cuervo were the only tequilas at the bottlow when I was a teen.. Cuervo was better it wasn't puke juice

Gayle is a product of his environment. Sarcastic shock and horror, but not everywhere has the same standards and values as Australia. In his home, people wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Seriously though... leg day stereotypes.

Just received "HUCKSTEP- A Dangerous Life". Looking forward to a great but inconclusive read:)

And also "Blood Money".

The funniest thing about that whole Gayle episode was Mel's reaction she was having none of it & he came off sounding like an absolute tool.. he might be this "smooth" talking hero to some but he's just a wally brain that plays decent cricket once in a while to me.

It was class versus arseh*le personified.

This 60 minutes special last night was great...

That was, surprisingly, pretty good (except for the cringeworthy moment in the kitchen Liz Hayes had to briefly make herself the story.)

The Dodger got sloppy later in life. A mate interviewed him for something he was working on. Of course, he only saw the charming, charismatic larrikin.

"Dick Tracy" bank account, lol.

Mixed feelings about the "sequel of sorts." Blue Murder was lightning in a bottle. Career work for just about everyone involved. Can lightning strike twice? Dunno. Especially if it's still gonna be on Seven. Commercial network and different priorities and all that. Milat was alright, though.

Haven't heard anything of Michael Jenkins in years. Not since the Bali bombing mini-series fiasco. Think he had a falling out with Ian David over that?

Might go watch Blue Murder for the umpteenth time now...

Yeah but they did have Sunshine On Leith which gives them immunity.

Best worst movie ever made though.

But then as Hibs own NTUA is amazing

Players join in and no scarf waving.

Bliss.

My heart was broken, my heart was broken
Sorrow Sorrow Sorrow Sorrow
My heart was broken, my heart was broken

You saw it,
You claimed it
You touched it,
You saved it

My tears are drying, my tears are drying
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you
My tears are drying, my tears are drying

Your beauty and kindness
Made tears clear my blindness
While I'm worth my room on this earth
I will be with you

While the Chief, puts Sunshine On Leith
I'll thank him for his work
And your birth and my birth.

BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE NUFFIN ABOUT FOOTBALL.

Are you blind?
They are nearly all holding their scarves up. That was after winning the cup as well, reckon we could manage similar after the GF :)

Blue Murder was ABC 1995 but wasn't shown in NSW until 2001 because of a Neddy Smith court case. Can't remember which one but it was for murder. Milat was on 7 last year. I can't look at that actor now and not think of Milat. Same thing with Roxburgh and the Doger - it took me about 5 years to separate the 2. Now I look at Roxburgh and can only think of Cleaver Greene.
