This is a great call.

The day I genuinely stopped identifying with JJJ (despite a decade of being disappointed with the music they pushed and the music they left behind) was the Taylor Swift hottest 100 outcry and subsequent banning.

I don't even own a Swift album or anything but #carn. If people can't get behind a self made cross-genre superstar who writes all of her own incredibly catchy songs, what are we doing with our lives? You don't have to love her music but actively disliking and sooking that it would be played on your radio station it is really boring.

Because her song wasn't even played on Triple J, which is an alternative and not mainstream station, and therefore not representative of the station's listener base? The Hottest 100 is a list of the top songs played on JJJ, not 'the top songs played anywhere'.

Why would anyone who listens to that station identify with 'a self made cros-genre super star'? Hence why you stopped listening to it. The active obsession of people to try and homogenize culture and diversity into one melting pot...that's the thing that is really boring. Celebrate the fact that there is a station that won't, under any circumstances, play a Taylor Swift song, no matter how successful she becomes.

Limp Bizkit was played on JJJ. Eminem and U2, check. The first time I heard Coldplay? JJJ. Lily Allen, yep, her too. Triple J doesn't represent the underground - it's pretty much a station that plays music before commercial stations get a hold of it. That's all it is. Music judged on merit rather than commercial star power. And while she might write her own lyrics, she doesn't write the cookie cutter music that goes along with it...unlike all of the other people you mention.

You're never going to get Richard Kingsmill repping Taytay.

As if Sturridge doesn't deserve it. He's better than Vardy. ELITE.

Sturridge won the game. Vardy got lucky that the ball came off a defender in a 50/50 because he was 5 yards offside.

He gets 'lucky' literally all the time.

I know the word lucky is played out with Vardy/Leicester but in that case he was very lucky. Most time if the ball falls that way in the box and you're offside it'll be off an attacker and it'll be called.

Sturridge is better and his goal was massive. His work with no space at all was incredible. FWIW I reckon both should start because it's a tournament comp and whoever is in form must be favoured. Kane isn't so he must be dropped.

Alli, Lallana and Rooney behind Sturridge & Vardy could work, on form. Dier behind them. Drop Vardy for Wilshere, maybe, if you wanna beef up the midfield.

Both should start. Vardy is an insatiable winner who won't stop scoring under any circumstances, despite having considerably less natural talent than a host of his peers.

He's basically Tom Brady with legspeed.
