Makes sense. They should win but didn't
Flying to England for two years tomorrow. Dont think I'll sleep tonight.
I voted for about 5 Wavves tracks in the latest top 100 and none of them got in. Popular taste just isn't with catchy rock. The competition was so much stronger in 1996 and yet if El Scorcho was released today it would probably finish 412th, with only you and me voting for it because people who listen to JJJ prefer bland electronica

I know it's typical for each generation to say the next's take in culture is terrible but, ****, the last few years of mainstream music is peak bland shit. I love hip hop but even in the supposed renaissance the best stuff is underground and the charts are filled with RnB bland shite.Think pop rock was such a big thing with young bands here ~10 years ago it's suffered from a bit of overkill. The mainstream electronica lovefest is getting absolutely ridiculous though and I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say mainstream radio (musically) is the worst it's ever been.

Tell you what, Sticky Fingers and the copycats... I don't mind them.

I'll freely admit that my memory can be poor at times so correct me if I'm wrong but that was after he hooked up with NI? I felt that his relationship with her put him on more of a pop oriented path. I can't remember their drummers name but I do recall seeing how much fun he was having gigging. Fast forward an album or two and it looked like just about the last thing he wanted to do. I got the impression that the style change was not the musical direction he wanted to go. Of course I'm speculating but I do know what it's like when you're performing music you don't have your heart set on. The big change was Johns' relationship with a pop princess. I stand to be corrected and am interested if you have better recollection of times/dates/occurences though.
Nah, this was right at the start, as Frogstomp was being released. Had just been unearther by Triple J. NI came after they found success. Drummer was Ben Gillies or something like that from memory.

What's the bet our old mate Rolf Harris is under this. It's just very creepy...
Original Wolfmutha line-up would be closeHas any three piece band had two members as invisible as the other two blokes from Silverchair?
May as well have been session musos.
