Dont know....might have to get her to take a pic of it so i can look.
A couple of my mates had that, and they don't really know why. For the record, it'd take effort to fail your SACE. You'd have to get below an E- (25%) in a couple of subjects to technically fail.

I didn't even get a SACE.

I'm now 3/4 of the way through uni now and I've got a GPA of 6.0. School doesn't mean shit, and you will find that out pretty quickly as soon as you hit the real world. I worked for a bit then took the mature entry exam, it was ridiculously easy and I scored in the top few percentile so I had a very wide choice of courses to go with.

The best part was, working allowed me to set myself up and get proper world experience which then allowed me to approach my studies with maturity. A lot of people are very quick to throw away their studies because of terrible attitudes which have not been treated through hard work to put things into perspective. Also, having a stable job on your resume puts you ahead of a HUGE percentage of students, because most of them leave school and go straight to uni, then wonder why they can't get a job afterwards.
My old mans story is pretty good too.

Failed vce or whatever it was called 50 years ago. Did night school, got into arts, did arts, worked in the country for a while. Then came back and did science to get into med. Is now an anesthetist.

That said, getting 99.95 and getting a scholorship and guaranteed entry into your course is always the easiest way to do something that is pretty damned hard.

Okay, got access. She got an 'N' for one of her stage 2 results. All the other were graded. Her accompanying letter has for ATAR/Uni/TAFE as N/A. Is it that one 'N' that killed it? She has no 'overall' score like I thought you would get (even if it is like 40 or something).

I'm not 100% positive, but I think that 'N' implies she didn't pass that particular subject. I could be wrong. You'd be best off giving SATAC a call to clarify things.

IIRC some subjects don't give you a score for your ATAR.

That happened to me last year do I didn't get an ATAR so I called up my school told them and the year 12 co ordinator called back and apologised because he never told us how some subjects can't be used to get an ATAR. He called up the SACE board and fixed it all up for me.

I only ended up getting a 70 but atleast I got something :p

I don't plan on going to Uni though not just yet and way I don't feel like I'm ready for it. Maybe in a few years though.

She got an 'N' for the research project....not sure why, or what it means. i am assuming you did one, does that result show in your scaled scores for tertiary entrance? Sorry to derail the thread lads!!

That's not good. The Research Project is the only compulsory subject in year 12. If she wants her SACE she has to pass it with a grade of E- or better. Although it's very possible that SACE just have't finished marking her research project.

Yeh, SACE actually thought it was odd when i rang. She is going to ask the school what is happening, hopefully just yet to be graded.

Eh, it's better (and pays more) than what I'm doing now, packing bags and having the same conversation 100 times a day. But having said that, I'll definitely reconsider.
It's not my intention to put you off, Optometry is a good career choice and relatively stable work. It's only that some people find it batshit boring. The big advantage is that if you do find it boring, you can locum and earn good money while pursuing other interests, like watching Port train with Power Pete!

If Allied Health is you interest, Audiology is the way to go IMO. If you really want to torture yourself you could go the Medicine path, it's a lot of work, blood and sacrifice but you're guaranteed a nice Porsche if you don't (regularly) kill anyone.

I don't do cards.

Sorry gaiz.
Cards are the biggest scam in human history. Whoever invented the concept of birthday/Christmas cards and somehow popularized it enough that people are willing to blow money on a bit of cardboard with a generic greeting inside is an evil genius.
