Not necessarily some people are followers with a desperate need for a higher sense of purpose well beyond adolescence & are not always graced with a strong personality & bullshit meter to go with it... they eat these types alive.

Love this song. It was a bit of my anthem when as a teenager I struggled to accept religious believes. Coming from a catholic family it was a bit traumatic to accept I couldn't believe in the supernatural. Good memories.

How can you hate the 80s!!! That's what makes the show great so you should stop watching it now. I just finished it last night. Loved it!

Edit: full disclosure I was about the age of the kids in the show in 1983.

All Netflix shows are a slow burn to me and don't get going until 4 or 5 episodes in.

The 80s setting is largely irrelevant. It is far from in your face.
