It has become blatantly obvious throughout this putrid coverage from Channel Bruce that they have the worst stable of "stars" in world television and that they have been coached by imbeciles.
Shitty keywords and shitty catchphrases has been the order of the day and haven't the lemmings excelled.
Basil is a the standout symbol of this.
He used the same call in every single race start during the swimming and instead of calling action as he sees it, and for fear of offending anyone in Australia, he has been completely vanilla. It has been worse than his football commentary and that is THE worst in this country. Instead of saying Australia's Olympians have been disappointing or they may feel disappointed, which by the way is perfectly ok, he has used the word brave ad nauseam. I can't be the only person in this country that wants to hear it as it is. Poort went into the race with a plan and as it turns out it was a ****ing stupid plan that may have cost him a medal. It's ok to tell us and him that.
They are all the same though, Basil has been used in the swimming which I enjoy watching so he has been a standout for me.
Jim Wilson in the studio is a moron. I haven't encountered Hame yet so I can only imagine how sickening he would be. Even Gian Rooney who knows swimming let herself get dragged down to Basils level like Port in any recent game against Carlton.
The coverage has been appalling and I've watched less action than any other year since 1976 I reckon when my 7 year old self developed a crush on Nadia Comaneci. If I had enough interest or was likely to use any of their sponsors services I would boycott those ****ers in protest.

Perhaps it was the unrealistic weight of expectation that slowed him down. Nevertheless, I'm sure he was brave.
If I was Kyle Chalmers I'd stay away from Alberton Burgo would have him swimming backwards in no time.

Agree, it's disappointing that they've pigeonholed themselves, they wear a wide variety of other bands and music merchandise which to me says they're musically pretty flexible in their taste, but for whatever reason decide to only do basic hard rock, with less variety than any of the bands that inspire them.
Still, I like it. Someone in to that style of music doesn't have a lot to choose from in this day and age.
