Ran into Robbie Gray and Boak sat night at Glenelg at the Dublin.
Had a chat to Robbie for a bit and was happy that he actually took the time and made convo with me. Offered to buy him a drink but was strickly on the waters! lol... Boak seemed so shy! and struggled to look me in the eye etc, total contrast to Gray who was very confident and happy to have a talk and laugh.
Funny how they are best mates yet seem like chalk and cheese!

Hawk was a dangerous man; ran a country like he run his businesses.....into administration. Thank god he had Keating standing behind him do the work and making things happen.

Hawk should have stuck to what he new best; getting drunk, cheating on his wife and telling stories.

Hawkie was also very good at winning elections. He had a great first 15-18 months and then his ego got in the way. He also lucked out as he had the best cabinet Australia had ever seen, and none since about 1989-1990 has matched it either. Being out of government for 31 of 34 years made the talent available hungry.

Story on Choco at the Tigers just put on on the HUN's website.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/mor...hit-at-tigerland/story-e6frf9jf-1226564236306

THE next generation of Tigers is already reaping the rewards of Mark Williams' arrival as Richmond begins to ignite its focus on development.

Williams joined as a development coach last September after turning his back on Greater Western Sydney and has taken charge of the first, second and third-year baby Tigers.

But this is classic Choco.

"It’s not just about on the field with Choco (Williams), he gets you to tick as many possible boxes off the field and in your knowledge as well,’’ he said of the premiership coach.

.....

While Tim Clarke will coach Coburg this season, Williams has taken a more lateral approach, even showing the interstate draftees how to perfect hook turns in the city.

They'll be singing a different tune when they realise Choco is only there because he senses impending blood when the inevitable Richmond collapse occurs and Hardwick is sacked..

Why does Mr T pity the fool? Does the fool really want his pity?

Rocky Balboa didn't want his pity, but Clubber Lang had every right to pity him. Rocky had been fighting below his talent level to keep the belt, and Clubber dominated him in their first meeting. For Rocky to challenge him again, Mr T was filled with enough confidence to pity his feeble attempts to recapture the throne.

Alas, the pity was misplaced in the end - but at the time, it was more than warranted.

Funny how we get a mouthy, confident aboriginal sportsman like Mundine and everyone wants to shoot him down and see him fail. But for years and years we've treated our mouthy, boorish cricketers like gods, even going as far as defending their actions and tactics.

I was thinking a similar thing, if Muhammad Ali was Australian, would we hate him the way we hate Mundine, Hewitt etc for being a cocky loud mouth? Probably.

I doubt it. My issue with Mundine is he not only seems to be arrogant and a loud mouth, he also seems to have the IQ of a crumpet.

Agreed. Our cricketers may be arrogant, but they didn't tend to say the completely stupid things that come out every time Mundine opens his mouth. And to be fair, Healey is a twunt.
