Really looking forward to having Koch on AFL 360 tomorrow, hope they don't go all "questions that were answered 12 months ago" On the couch style

Oh wow, didn't realise. Will have to tune in.

Soundwave was killer

I gave up trying to call you after Kyuss Lives could not call out or text out of my phone until so late in the day I was home.

Saw,

Tomahawk
Kyuss Lives
Slayer
The Sword
****ed Up
The Chariot

That's all I think, ****ed Up are amazing I got to tell Pink Eyes I loved the band and yell "**** you Adelaide" through the microphone. Not sure why that sprang to mind or he might have cut me off...

The Chariot were quite simply the band of the festival for me the only down side was hearing The Offspring between songs. I am heading off to buy any The Chariot cd's I can find.

Bands I saw at Soundwave:

Anthrax - I have tried so hard to like this band, but they're just so generic, Bush > Belladonna - 5/10
Sylosis - eh, honestly don't remember - ?/10
Slayer - Holt is 10x the player of either Hanneman or King, the band is absolutely boring unless you're in the pit though - 5/10
A Perfect Circle - didn't wanna play their hit, instead preferred to bore the shit out of anyone who "just didn't get it, man" (quote from A Perfect Circle fan) - 3/10
Metallica night 1 - ****ing incredible, played My Friend of Misery and it was as good as I always imagined it to be, Damage Inc. was also insane 10/10
Red Fang - caught the last 3 songs, was blown away, wish I came earlier - 8/10
Fozzy - perfect, Jericho is now a legit frontman who can wail, tight as hell - 9/10
Dragonforce - it's crazy when a power metal pit is the most brutal of the day, guitars way too quiet though - 8/10
Orange Goblin - nice fun band to stand back and drink beer to - 8/10
Danko Jones - That Metal Show always pump these guys up... not really sure why - 5/10
Blink 182 - eh, played most of the hits and had some fun between songs. They should keep this drummer cos he's better than the other guy and he's not a dick - 7/10
Linkin Park - if you like their music, they would've put on a great show. I hate their music - ?/10
Metallica night 2 - even better than night 1, The Thing That Should Not Be was too damn heavy and pulling out Orion for a festival crowd? Genius.

I saw:

Gallows: Amazing, excellent crowd interaction, but still think they are better with Frank.
Slayer: Meh. Hot sun.
Shai Hulud: Disinterested, but a good reminisce nonetheless.
Blink 182: I was too squished and too hot to enjoy any of it, but what I did see was average.
Madball: Awesome. Surprise of the day, really tight and really into it.
Cancer Bats: Killed it.
Polar Bear Club: Don't know why I felt the need to yell all their lyrics back at them, but I did. Love those guys so much.
****ed Up: Best performance of the day, got sweaty with the singer, got some great photo's and video, bummed I don't know what Eddie Dingle looks like.

left feeling hoarse, sore and very content.

I went to the Perth one yesterday.

Dragonforce: I just can't take them seriously. Sure, they can play guitars quickly but all of their songs sound exactly the same?? I don't really get the appeal. 2/10

Anthrax: they bored me tbh. I was outside of the D though, so maybe that had something to do with it. 1/10

Gallows: decided to stay out of the mosh to save myself for later, good decision. The on stage presence reminded me of ****ed up, first thing the lead singer did was start a circle pit with himself in it. Great set. 8/10

Slayer: I was on the wrong side of the mosh to get the full experience, but I still enjoyed it. Not much else to say really! 8/10

A Perfect Circle: massive yawn. Hated the on stage presence. 1/10

Blink 182: a favourite band of mine through my teenage years, played all of the hits, loved it. The juvie girls in the mosh were having a whinge about the mosh before the set even started... Most of them lasted 1-2 songs before getting pulled over the front in tears. 10/10

Linkin Park: I loved Meteora and Hybrid Theory, was great hearing their old stuff live. Their new stuff is generic and boring, you can really tell the difference when they mix the two. 8/10

Metallica: not much to say really. Soundwave make stages properly, shits all over BDO. 10/10

The Offspring: left Metallica after an hour to go and see the offspring, whom I hadn't seen before and were another high school favourite. It was a top set, happy with my decision. There were more people there than I thought there would be. 9/10

I rushed to the front and headlocked the singer before he got over the barrier to the right of the stage. That should be a clue as to what I look like ;)

Actually I saw 10 minutes of A Perfect Circle who I had been looking forward to seeing.

Imagine.

Wank.

Never again.

I had managed to forget Imagine.

Thanks.

That was the most shitful thing I have seen at a music festival since.... well ever.

Haha really? I'm pretty sure I remember you now, although by that time of the day I was pretty drunk so my memory is a little hazy. I was the one wearing a melo Knicks jersey, PA hat and large rang beard.

You sound scrumptious.

Boss told me today that I seem to enjoy my job too much.
