"Nice to know we have such inclusive supporters, apparently I'm now a crows supporter because I didn't like racial vilification, abuse, expletives and fights while seeing parents shielding their children from a blue."

Their reply
"Welcome to the footy Matt"

They actually support racism and expletives?

That's right. Worst thing they could have said.

They are saying they weren't in that bay?

You sure it was TAC and not some other group?

EDIT: Not meaning to question you too harshly, just wondering as I wasn't there to see it myself, and i like the sound of what those guys are doing (chanting etc is good for the game).

Their chants are obnoxious, heinous and extremely virile. Not the kind of thing majority would want at the football. They are from a Soccer background, which explains a lot.

It was the TAC, bay 117. I sit in 116, so they can't deny it and I find it cowardly for them to do so.

I didn't see the scarf on the head incident, that's really not on.

From where I was the TAC looked scattered through 119 and 118, the bloke who was riling up the Crows ferals in 117 was definitely a TAC bloke, he's in all of the videos they've posted. The fight was in the aisle between 118 where the TAC guy was, and 117 where the Crows guys were.

Busted.

Hahaha, TAC banned me from commenting!

I commented that the guy who made the racial call was in their videos, and how a port supporter called 5AA to voice his disapproval of TACs actions and how he had to shield his child from a fight. They removed all of my posts and banned me.

Too bad they can't mute the truth on the biggest footy forum in Australia :)

On Sunday morning they also posted:

"To all the Crows morons commenting on our page and trying to be smart arses, how does this sound? Go and go get f*&@ed, go and see if you can put something on the Official Crows page.
Our page is not for you."

Also, another poster said:

"You want to be making the crows fans mad and be getting in fights? I don't understand gay pussy footy fans. Watch at home if you don't like passion."

Wow, these guys are scum. Shame we have these kinds of groups.

Is anyone else already having nightmares about the salary cap problems we're in for in 2-3 years?

Naw.

Geelong managed to keep their stars together by paying their great players similar amounts. They stayed because they were part of something special. Kenny knows this - he was a part of it.

I was wondering why one of them was wrapping a scraf around his head. Didn't click to me but I can understand why those Crows supporters got so mad. Unfortunatley they were pretty much sitting in front of me.

It never happened according to them, despite many comments to the contrary. They've banned me from their page, so I made people aware on PAFCs page to steer away from them.

A parent just posted this:

"The showdown isn't every like every other game, I'd hope parents know that.

TAC needs to clean up its act though, you've been doing some good things but the actions of the showdown have made parents feel unsure about bringing their children to the footy. I understand not wanting to be "G-rated" but when there are kids around you should at least try to make sure they will be back the next week."

The Alberton Crowd replied:

"The Alberton Crowd (PAFC Active Supporters)They'll be back next week"

These guys need to take a good hard look at themselves, what an atrocious attitude.

With what you have experienced, you must report this type of behaviour directly to the club - to KT in fact. We must weed these morons out.

I'm not trying to play devil's advocate, but if people enjoy chanting etc. why shouldn't they be allowed to do it. What happened on sunday sounds very, very bad, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't chant at the footy.

The school I went to (Melbourne Grammar School) has a long standing rivalry with another school in Scotch College. Something like 140 years. Anyway, every year we would go to the game between the two, and everyone would chant and bring blow up sex-dolls with scotch college gear on and so forth, but we always rotated ends at the end of each quarter and were at completely different ends of the ground. Not that there would have been fighting anyway seeing as there was no alcohol involved, and we were school kids.

We lost the first 3 years I saw it in a row because Scotch started bringing in kids like Cyril Rioli etc. While we did have some brilliant players in Xavier Ellis (kicked 4 goals while injured) and Tom Hawkins (who played in the ruck), we couldn't beat them that year. In my final year though we got up, and it was the best atmosphere I've been at between the couple of hundred students that were there. Chanting the school song (which was a chant more than a song) and other things. This is why I see the appeal in seperating supporters, especially at Showdowns when it sounds like there are fights all the time. People mouth off and say its a terrible idea, but I don't really see why.

Just my two cents.

I don't condone insulting other supporters directly one bit BTW.

That was me LOL.

I travelled with the cheer squad to the MCG in round 1, and these TAC guys were making everyone severely uncomfortable.

Chanting things such as "Jack Watts is a *insert worst word you can use for a homosexual here*" and so on. Some mothers in the group had to re-locate, as they got drunker and drunker and the things they said got worse and worse.

They started insulting the security at the ground as well, chanting "Your security is ****ing shit"

Total hooligans.

Nothing wrong with the chanting but you've kind of got to know where to draw the line, especially with kids around. Sunday we had a family in front of us with young kids and they obviously don't go to the footy a whole lot because they weren't sure of the seating etc. Usually at these games I fire up a fair bit and don't mind a bit of banter but I made sure not to use too much offensive language (the odd word probably slipped). A bad experience like the TAC provided is enough not to see people come back which in the long run hurts the club.

The Football Club refuses to acknowledge their existence, which makes sense because they're not even an official supporters group like the Cheersquad or the Outer Army. They're just a bunch of idiots trying to cause trouble, and ruin the experience for everyone else.

I would like you all to stop talking about them now.

They sound like they would get off on the noteriety.

The ****s ;)

It might be my age but this stuff doesn't really worry me. I've heard and seen much worse at the football over the years than what these guys get up to.

It bothers me a bit, but it wont stop me from going to the footy. It's the thousands of others I worry about.

Yeah remember when we stabbed those two Glenelg fans back at Alberton in '77 lol?

Whatever era it isn't right, and we as a club cannot afford to alienate any fans especially young families more now than ever.
